First of all I have to mention that if you pay around 250-300€ per night at that hotel, that will be a good experience. But since we booked it only 1 week in advance and paid 800€ per night, I can only rate it 8 maximum because room at this hotel can’t cost 800€, it is too expensive. 1. We didn’t really like the location: ski out - yes, but ski in (back to the hotel) was not that easy, hotel is located a bit higher than we expected. 2. We stayed in two different rooms in total. In one of them the mattress and pillows were so bad, after each night the whole body ached. But after we changed the room it became much much better 3. For one room you’ll get only one small locker, it is not easy to fit there 2 snowboards

Christmas week was super busy. Despite that the staff was very helpful and found time to attend. Hotel 's location is simply unbeatable. In the very middle of Val Thorens. It is "skis au pied". You exit the hotel and are on the slope. We had our car in a parking at the entrance of the village and concierge helped us with our luggage+skis to drive everything down.

Dinner at the hotel was so-so. We have not tried "La Fondue" which is another restaurant associated and just next to the hotel. Was always full. Breakfast: plenty of good sweet stuff. The savory part could be a bit better.

Stunning location. Gets lots of sunshine and you can chill out outside on their 1971 restaurant/ cafe. It is on the main ski area with very easy ski in and out. Staff very friendly and helpful with twice a day cleaning of the room. Swimming pool nicely warm and spa very good and can see out to the pistes. Very accommodating in allowing late check out so we can ski in the morning before leaving. Definitely would come back.

Wasn’t too much not to like about the hotel. Perfect location, ski in ski out, and all the staff were lovely and on hand to help with any needs. The breakfast was great as well, which is a big bonus when you’re setting yourself for a days skiing. When I return next year, I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

My daughter and I had breakfast each day. There was a good variety of fresh food, which was well presented and good quality. We had dinner one evening and the buffet was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very accommodating us in allowing to check out on our final day, leave our bags, shower and change at the end of the day.

Honestly - nothing.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially thanks to the amazing staff. Everyone was so welcoming, always smiling, and happy to help. The warm atmosphere they created during breakfast and in the evenings made a big difference.

Hotel Le Val Thorens is just fantastic. The 70’s vibe is cool & makes it very individual. Staff are excellent - so polite, helpful & keen to make sure they go the extra mile to make your stay a success. Rooms are practical, stylish, spacious, clean & comfortable. Restaurants - Brasserie & Fondue are excellent. Location is amazing - absolutely on the piste in the centre of the town, but don’t be concerned - we were never woken once with any noise or disturbance!!

We loved it all!! We’ll certainly return & will recommend it to friends - especially for guaranteed snow at Christmas.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location with easy access to ski lifts and restaurants. Room was well equipped and of reasonable size. Nice bar on the property with lovely views

The food was mediocre, all the breakfasts and the one dinner we had at the hotel.

Steam room was not working, the smell of fondue restaurant was bothering,the smell of fondue was always inside the room at night time

We had very good stay. The hotel is literally on the slopes so we could snowboard just right out the door. The hotel has really young vibe and we enjoyed that. There were quite many options for breakfast. Facilities for everything are very good. We did get to meet the manager of the hotel and she was super friendly and attentive to make sure we had a great stay. We had massages and it was a very pleasant experience to recover after the day on the mountain. We were able to book massage on the same day which was rather surprising to have the availability for us. There is a couples room that has heated massage boards. Don’t expect super firm massage but the recovery massage really works and does wonders. The hotel can really take care of your ski luggage and park the car. It’s a good option since you might spend quite some time looking for a spot in almost full garage. The restaurant plays some great tunes from 80’s. The bar had a great Negroni and wine options were very good.

We did have to open the door to get some fresh air through the night and we could hear quite some people partying long hours but that seems to be the nature of this ski town. Spa area will be busy.
