The hotel isn't too far from the beach and the the hotel building is nice despite showing some age which it is not trying to hide. The staff were helpful and friendly, despite struggling with English a bit. The rooms were clean, but lack good lighting and look a bit dark. The rooms didn't have a fridge, but the staff let us use a refrigerator at the reception. The breakfast was a mixed bag, but mostly positive. The selection wasn't the biggest, especially for this price, but it wasn't lacking either.

It's a shame that the rooms don't have a good sound insulation, so if other guests at the hotel are a bit louder, you can absolutely hear them. If you are not an early bird, expect to be woken up by door slams from other rooms. Noise was also a problem at night because of people being loud in the street and on top of it, some vandals decided to put up a fight with a trash bin in the middle of the night. Closing the windows made almost no difference.

Very comfortable, quiet and ideal for getting the ferry the next morning. Took me 25 minutes drive. Free underground parking. Very comfortable bed and freshly renovated bathroom. Easy walk to a nice restaurant, late supermarket right next door.

The car park is accessible by lift from the hotel. You need a key to drive in and out. This shouldn’t be an issue if you’re a couple, but when you’re alone it’s not so easy when you leave and have to bring the key back. It’s a 1-way road system. There is other parking nearby to leave the car while you bring the key back but you need to plan an extra few minutes to sort that out.

Room was great. The bathroom was large, clean and modern. Same with the room itself, all was clean and functional and had everything we needed. The man who checked us in on arrival was wonderful. He was friendly and professional and showed us to the parking bay where we left our car for the weekend. Breakfast was well worth the money - a great selection, fresh ingredients and plenty of choice and availability. Breakfast staff were also very nice and friendly.

The bar ran out of beer! None of the beer taps were working as they were empty and there were only a few bottles of beer in the fridge, which ran out by Saturday evening. Apparently, the manager went away on holiday and did not order stocks! Unfathomable that a bar, which is open until 2am, had no beers available on a weekend. Additionally, the man who was on day shift on the Saturday was only interested in his laptop and not with guests. Glasses and cups weren't cleared from the guest lobby area for hours and he pretty much just sat at the back of the room, on his laptop, as though he was a hotel guest.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was excellent, everything was clean and well-maintained, parking was easy and convenient, and the breakfast was fantastic. Overall, everything was just great – we had a wonderful experience.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like – we couldn’t fault anything. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Everything about the hotel was brilliant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very fresh with a lot of choice. The room was well designed and very comfortable. We loved the fact that it had a mini kitchen in it, with a coffee machine. The hotel is close to restaurants, but not in the thick of it, so a quiet location

I can't think of anything that we didn't like.

Internet in my room, was very bad, but I think tha was the way the room was in a corner, as elsewheer in the hotel the internet was ok. Garage entry is with a key from the reception, not very convenient to pick up and bring back. No one in the vicinity knows the hotel Cargo, everyone knows it by its old name Welcome and my navigation system also did not find it..

My second stay at this hotel ,excellent central position near to the main square added bonus of secure parking garage for my motorcycle. A 15 minute ride to my ferry home.Perfect for my needs.Great staff friendly and helpful,same staff as my previous visit last year.

The room was excellent. Modern design with good furnishings. The bathroom was large and the condiments on offer were outstanding. The water pressure in the shower was superb and the quality of towels and bedding were very good. The breakfast was sumptuous and the staff were very. pleasant and engaging.

Lighting in the bedroom and bathroom was very poor.

The Location was good and free on street parking at weekends. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Staff very friendly and polite.

Noise from a late night barber shops opposite hotel so could not have windows open. Lack of English channels on TV as usual 😒

Breakfast was excellent; the bedroom was a little small (because it was on the attic); the hotel is centrally located with easy access to restaurants and walking distance to the beach.

There is little that I did not like.
