The staff at the reception gave us a very warm welcome and nice first impression. The room is quite big even for us two adults with one kid. The washroom is very clean and comfortable with underfloor heating. The location is also wonderful which is very close to the ferry. I personally strongly recommend the self hand made local introduction books in the sauna area. I should have noted the author’s name (Dr.) . He must love the place very much. If I go back there again, I wish to finish reading.

There’s nothing bad or wrong. We are quite satisfied.

The hotel is at a central location in the town, with a nice terrace with view on the Elbe river. In front of the hotel, you can park your car at a low rate for hotel guests. The breakfast was nice and WiFi connection was good even though we stayed at the top story of the hotel (accessible by elevator).

There was no separate shower in the bathroom, so you had to shower in the bath-tub which wasn't very handy. Each evening you had to get a parking ticket for the next day at the reception and place it visible inside the car to make sure that you would not get fined. It would have been easier to get a parking ticket that covers for the days we were staying at the hotel.

Everything was wonderful: the view from the window, breakfast, the food in the restaurant, the proximity to the river and the mountains. The bed was separated from the rest of the room and far from the bathroom, that is very nice. My husband had his birthday during the stay and the hotel congratulated him with a nice gift. Thank you for your hospitality!

The beds are a little bit short for tall people (170+)

Bad Schandau was one of the highlights of our trip in Germany, The city/village is very picturesque and we had a very nice room on the river. I think we even had one of our best dinners at the restaurant of the hotel, directly on the river. Parking was quite easy, the personnel was very nice, the room was spacious and with a window-door opening on the river, with perfect views. We even liked seeing the trains passing on the other side, despite the sound (we heard nothing when we closed the windows). The breakfast was good and we really liked the fact that there was a special spot for children to play (our daughter didn't want to leave). It is very close to the Therme Spa and you really need to pay a visit.

Nothing negative really comes to mind...It is quite expensive but this is understandable.

Nice and clean, good service and great location for exploring the region. Nice detail with a small evening story each day for kids.

Wifi did work very poorly in my room. In the common spaces it worked fine.

December, the hotel is cosy, warm. The sauna is nice and well equipped. The beautiful landscape. This is the spa.

Excellent location close to public transit and main square, accommodating staff, clean and comfortable. Sauna was a big plus.

A few more warm breakfast items would have been nice.

Lovely traditional-style hotel, beautifully kept. Spacious room and bathroom. Our room on the front had a lovely river view and was quiet as there is no traffic in front of the hotel.

No arm chairs in room, only dining-room style chairs, not comfortable.
