The Elbaview double room was perfect: room full of light, magnificent view over Elba-river, very quiet and warm ( despite -11 grad Celsius outside in February). Big bathroom, also warm, with big heater towel ray (which was very helpful as after visiting Toscana Therme we had a lot of wet things). The breakfast was delicious: variety of meat, cheese, salads, as well as warm dishes (eggs, bacon, sausages, etc) and desserts (pancakes, croissants, jams, mousses, etc.). Staff were friendly and helpful, cleaning also good.

Would be nice to have a kettle :) But this is if one really thinks hard what should be improved:))

The location is lovely and the hotel itself is also great, well prepared, clean, cosy and great breakfasts. The breakfast staff who were Czech were very nice, friendly and helpfull. They provided us with the information we needed and more. They supplied the work of the reception, unfortunatelly. They made me feel welcomed.

The staff at the reception and in the restaurant was not friendly and welcoming. Upon the arrival I had to wait at the reception to be accomodated while the receptionist was inside. I waited for a while. Some of the reception staff does not speak English at all which in 4 star hotel is not acceptable. When I came to ask questions regarding the TV programsm the staff was not able to answer. I did not feel welcomed here.

General spaciousness in hotel and in the grounds. Parking available. Location on the river but just ten minutes on foot to town or public transport. The pool was good in hot weather. The room was good but bathroom somewhat cramped. Reception staff was friendly and helpful.

Just small niggles which didn't spoil the holiday at all: dining room staff could be a little bossy at times; the watery orange juice at breakfast.

Everything from staff to the size of the room, location, wide selection of breakfast choices and local specialities, etc was perfect. Didn't expect that everything will be at such a high quality. Loved the view from the room and the little balcony, stunning location and the building itself full of history and charm. Although pool was a bit cold for the time of the year, the facilities were great and my partner still managed to enjoy a refreshing swim in the morning. Cosy spa too. Had a dinner booked at the restaurant one night and the service and meal was perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful place in Bad Schandau - I wish to be a guest in the future.

There could be more options for vegetarians for dinner at the restaurant or this could be taken into account when booked - this would go an extra mile. :)

Great views of the river from our room. Perfect location to explore the national park and brilliant hike very accessible starting at the passenger elevator drop-off right by the hotel. Decent food in the restaurant.

Room was a little bit cold even with the heat on high. A kettle for tea/coffee in the room would have been ideal.

Nice hotel with parking space. The staff is very friendly. Very good and calm location, nice room with small balcony and bathroom. The hotel is quite big and the rooms are different. Nice breakfast and restaurant. I’ve been to this hotel before and would stay there again.

Maybe a kettle and some cups to make some tea/coffee would be really great.

Pleasant, good sized room with a balcony. Nice breakfast. Good sauna and steam room included, plus outdoor pool, which was pretty cold but it was Septemeber! Pleasant grounds and communal areas. Good location a short walk from the centre of Bad Schandau, right next to the historic lift.

Room was quite dark. More info on spa/ sauna and steam room opening times would have been useful. They give you a lot of written info (in German) but even after going through it all we didn't have the answers. My partner had a slightly odd experience with staff in terms of how they reacted when she went for a beer from the bar in the evening.

A beautiful setting, peacefull and very pretty. Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of choice at breakfast which we really enjoyed. We had a river view room. The view was absolutely gorgeous. The was a really enjoyable treat

A very high step into the shower, no kettle in room which would have been nice but didn't spoil our visit.

We traveled by bikes to Bad Schandau so we could store them in a bike storage (they have 2 storages for bikes and e-bikes). the staff at hotel was very kind, smiling and helpful, we also received free pass for travelling by bus & train in the surroundings. The breakfast was fabulous and beds were comfortable.

That we could not stay longer. :-)

The room was very spacious. And such a wonderfully picturesque building and Christmas decorations.

The shower area was too small.(I’m not huge.) A very uncomfortable shower. It wasn’t made clear that I needed to make a reservation for dinner at the hotel. May have been lost in translation.
