Nice, comfortable hotel. Good place for hiking. Especially if you want to hike on the south side of Elbe. Train, bus and ferry station are quite closeby. Very calm and quiet. The breakfast is amazing. Great variety and tasty food. Free sauna. Helpful staff, I checked-in after their specified check-in hours but didn't have any issue. Note that I communicated my check-in time beforehand.

The daily dog fee was 15 euros. It was a bit expensive, similar properties in the area are charging a maximum of 10 euros.

Unfortunately some of the stereotypes about the Saxons being lazy, ignorant and a bit stupid were confirmed. The hotel was not so close to Bad Schandau for a single traveller without a car and it wasn't easy to get transport there particularly in the night where everything seems dead and closed after 8pm even on a Saturday in July. Restaurants closing early, no buses not even a taxi. What the hell do these people do...go to bed at 8.30 pm or read AFD literature?

Nice lodgings and great restaurant; reasonably close to some hikes and walking distance to a train station. Affordable. I found the room quiet.

Location is tricky if you do not use a car or bicycle. Trains do not stop frequently at the Krippen station and one may need to go to Bad Schandau. There are no real restaurant options this side of the river, so you are dependent on the ferry service for that. The restaurant may get fully booked in the evenings!

Breakfast: decent, nothing extra ordinary, but quite good. Bread, eggs, meat, cereal, coffee, everything was there, but nothing super ordinary. Still - had simple yet tasty breakfast. Room: Clean, spacious, overall good. Staff: Friendly and helpful staff, the best part of this hotel - the staff. Superb!

Breakfast: no coffee options - just black coffee and milk, no lattes or cappuccinos etc. Room: bed was very uncomfortable, squeaky and loud even if you just turn to the other side. The mattress is very flimsy, the bedding was awful - with bumps on the bed sheet and the pillows were huge, impossible to sleep on them. Did not meet the price point of the hotel.

Very helpful staff, for guest with no German. Able to store small pack while I was gone for a night. Nice lodging and good restaurant.

It's in Bad Schandau jurisdiction but not in the town itself. Across the river (easy ferry) and then up a ways - if you don't have a car (I didn't) that meant waiting for a bus for a while. And bus service doesn’t go late. So just be sure, when looking for accommodation in Bad Schandau, that you check exact location and how to get there.

The breakfast was amazing, the rooms comfortable and quiet, the staff was very friendly and the location was good: walking distance from the train station and other relevant sites.

Internet never worked. It's a very minor detail, but I think it would be great if the rooms had a warmer light. Ours was very blue and it felt a bit like an office.

Very bright and quiet, we got a big terrace although it wasn’t initially part of the booking. Delicious breakfast buffet with large variety! The ferry stop is right out front and the hotel gives their guests a ticket to use all public transport, including the ferry and the Kirnitzschtalbahn for free during the period of our stay.

The view to the Elbe from the room's window was great. The breakfast was pretty solid. I was doing a bike packing trip and the hotel also offered a storage place for bikes. Great!

Close to the train station. Great view, food in restaurant is delish, staff is kind.

Only recommendation from our end is to extend the sauna opening hours as it closes at 9 pm.

The staff was very friendly, Krippen is a wonderful place. The hotel is situated shortly before the small stream flows into the Elbe and therefore close to the train station.
