The location is simply outstanding. The rooms are a bit on the older side, but this also adds to the charming experience of the stay. Bathrooms are renovated, and the bed is very comfy. The breakfast offered some of the best bread buns I ever had in a hotel. Cudos to the bakery. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

The television in the room is "not the latest model" (did work fine, though). The breakfast coffee was the biggest disappointment. (Please think about offering filter coffee as an option)

Hotel Hardtwald most certainly exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a quiet place to spend a weekend and were very happy with our choice. This hotel's location combines the quietness and peace of nature with close proximity to the town and restaurants if needed. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and a balcony. The staff was very friendly, and we felt comfortable communicating in English. A special bonus of our stay was meeting the adorable, playful dog Suzy :) The hotel does not serve dinners on weekends, but you can easily reach the town by car or on foot (approximately 15 minutes), or order delivery, which was not an issue. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

No snacks and drinks available in the evening/ at night. And no coffee/tea facilities in room. You have to bring your own snacks and drinks. Early cleaning and do not disturb hanger was ignored by cleaning staff.

Fine retreat in the woods on the edge of a nice residential area above Bad Homburg. Beautifully quiet and the walk (25 minutes) into the town is a pleasant one if you don't feel like going by car. Spacious room and comfortable bed.

Would have liked to have been able to have an evening meal as there is nowhere to eat nearby, but the kitchens were closed. Once I'd realised, though, it was easy to eat in Bad Homburg before retiring for the evening and the taxi ride wasn't expensive.

Overall I love where it is situated midst nature and within the woods. It has a cozy tone to it and has a nostalgic vibe that I deeply appreciate. The stuff is superb and family friendly. I would for sure come back again! Plus they have a Dog and her name is Sussi I believe, I adore her.

The hotel is on the edge of a forest. There are beautiful and easy trails for hiking, running and biking. The surroundings are absolutely quiet. The room was comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the nearby Taunus Therme. Excellent place to relax and rest, and Frankfurt is just about 30 minutes away by car.

Bathroom retains a bit moisture but not that big of a problem. Everything else is perfect.

It was a wonderful quiet place. Large comfortable bed and pillows. No air Con. but room was big and windows could be left open it was not a problem. 15 to 20 minutes easy walk to town. Good fresh food and coffee for breakfast. It is a pity the restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner. Great destination for people who like to walk or cycle. 7-9 euros for taxi from town.

This is a beautiful location, a bit out of Bad Homberg, a wonderful town. Hikes and spas are close by. It is a little further to walk places without a car, yet we had a vehicle. But, the walk is quite easy.

The hotel, its ambiance and personnel I found all very nice tranquil and peaceful. The ambience brought me a lot of rest. There is a Park behind the hotel where one is invited to exercise and run. The personnel is very friendly and explained me a lot about the possibilities in the neighborhood. The breakfast is lovely and extensive. A place I really like to come back to.
