We have just spent 4 days at this hotel visiting Phantasialand and Cologne. We found the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were lovely and even though we stayed bed and breakfast there was always coffee, biscuits and water available free of charge and even complimentary food during the evening. We would definitely recommend this hotel especially for anyone visiting Phantasialand as the hotel is only a 20 minute walk away and the tram station is only a short walk to get into the centre of Cologne 😊😊😊

Evening receptionist was incredibly friendly, the free evening buffet featuring soup, veg, pastries and hot drinks was so charming and wholesome as were the teddies in reception and bowls of nibbles. Feels like they've captured a very giving, homely atmosphere, befitting a converted monastery. Much more personable than any corporate chain hotel. Comfort Double was huge and very good value, featuring its own living room, fridge, a flatscreen tv in both rooms and it was spotless.

The decor is slightly The Shining vibes and because the building is so old as well, medieval I think, I did get a bit scared in the night, but someone with a less overactive imagination I'm sure would have been fine :)

Es war sehr schön. I was mistaken booked the wrong date and couldn't change through booking com but i called the Hotel and they manage to fixed it. Es hat alles geklappt. We visited Phantasialand and stayed overnight. The room we had was really nice and very clean. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentiv. Sweets are everywhere which is good, (my Son was happy) bottles of water are free, coffee and tea too plus they have apples ang sweets in the Restaurant to eat for free when you arrive late in the evening like we are. Breakfast buffet was good and clean Vielen Dank ❤️

Great hotel for an overnight on route to Phantasialand after a very long drive from Calais (literally about a mile away!) Very welcoming and room had everything we needed for one night in a lovely setting! Friendly and helpful check in!

Not much food option in town for dinner the night we stayed and no option of dinner in the hotel. We did find a good pizza and pasta place but it was a takeaway with one table inside, delicious though! They did put out cake/croissant type snacks, fruit and coffee etc for whenever you liked in the hotel. There was also an honesty book and a fridge full of beer and drinks which was super!

Gorgeous building, first view and impressions were amazing. Well maintained tidy and clean. Decent sized room with comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom, with shower & Hot water anytime. Staff friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast and supper included. Bottled water available free anytime. 25 mins walk to Phantasialand 15 min walk to local supermarket

Despite putting up the sign to clean the room, it was unfortunately not cleaned upon our return in the evening. Problem was that we were out of soap, so really need the room to be “cleaned”. But one call (reception was closed) fixed our issue, as someone appeared and gave us the soap 😊.

Your staff were light and friendly. Very kind and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. I was travelling alone and having music/radio playing during breakfast was lovely. The access to Bonn, Brühl and Cologne was brilliant. All the taxis services I used were courteous and kind (I was a woman alone) it helps when people are kind - especially at night or early in the morning. He reception lady was lovely. My son lives next door as he works for Phantasialand - he recommended the hotel and it was simple, clean and lovely.

I’d have liked to have better access to Wifi. I’m a gardener - I would love to help you sort out the plants at the front. It looks a bit shabby. My advice - take out all the plants in pots. Dig a flower bed in each side of the path and simply plant lavender and rosemary - easy to keep, easy to manage, looks gorgeous and when it rains the scent is heavenly AND you wouldn’t need to water once established. I’d love to come and sort that for you!!!

The location is near the city Brühl, and comfortable if you also visit the attraction park Phantasialand, very near to it. Outside there's a big parking. Inside is very beautiful and cozy. You can enjoy a snack bar in the evening, which is actually a light dinner (chicken, salads, biscuits, fruits, coffee, etc.). That was a nice suprise!Breakfast is also very good. The personnel is very polite and willing to help. It was really worth staying for a night there.

Nice clean, spacious room. Kind personnel with attention for detail. e.g. warm gluhwein in the reception area, with cookies/ bretzel. Generous breakfast. Very much recommended location to stay!

The corridor floorboard, (third floor, in front of the elevator) was cracking when people were walking over it, which was audible in the bedroom and a bit disturbing.

The location is perfect, very quiet yet close to Phantasialand. The rooms were nice and clean, there was a free dinner snack buffet, and a really nice breakfast. We only stayed one night and it was perfect. It's also really impressive how well everything has been restored after the hotel lost so much of its infrastructure and furniture from a major storm in 2021. My parents thought their pillows were too soft but if you need anything, ask the very kind staff! They are really happy to assist and made us feel like our experience truly mattered.

The floor of the shower cubicle is very slippery, be careful. Our showerhead was leaky but it's a shower and it still worked.
