The environment is absolutely stunning and the people were very friendly. It was wonderful to have my own little room with bathroom. Small but perfectly big enough with a comfortable bed, even though i am quite heavy. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean. Overal great value for money!

For me it was NOT an issue but if you take offence to a cobweb or spider on the ceiling here or there this is not the place for you. For checking in i had to call someone to come receive me, which was no problem but a bit unusual. I would advise better visible signs on the door because at first i wasn't sure i was at the right place, and had to get out of the car to go read the laminated A4 paper on the door XD

Fun experience sleeping in the real monastery that maintains the historic feeling. Nice shower. Surrounding nature was nice. The chapel was also very nice.

The room was clean but other areas were a bit dusty. No reception during the weekend but the staff was kind when I called and clearly gave me directions how to get in the room. The church bell rang every 30 minutes even during the middle of the night, which can be disturbing your sleep.

Unfortunately my fellow travellers in adjacent rooms felt the need to smoke in areas so that smoke went into my room Also, the noise level from people and (bathroom) facilities is quite high which is a shame because it could easily have been dealt with during the clearly extensive renovations (simple and cheap noise reduction measures would have done the trick in moat cases)

Warm welcome, very friendly host and nice atmosphere. The garden with the woods full of different art pieces is a huge plus. I had a wonderful time exploring it with my dog :)

When you arrive you have to phone the host for check-in, which can be perceived as an inconvenience. I personally didn't mind it, since the host speaks English very well :)

Ich finde einfach sind die Zimmern aber das ist der Clou dieses Unterkunft. Simple is best Take a break from the rush of our society. This place is a blast from the past. Quiet and tranquil. The rooms are so reminiscent of some kind of film set-

The comings and goings of other guests were audible. I stayed here in early September, there were other guests but not really noticeable. Everyone kept to themselves. This visit there were a larger group for a workshop. Sharing the kitchen required diplomatic discussions. Fine for some but I would have rather just had the same experience as last time.

It was so neat to be able to stay at such a historic site! We were in town visiting my Opa in the hospital nearby, and it was perfect for our situation. Lots of supplies for making meals and groceries nearby!

This was out of the property’s control, but because it had been raining so much the parking lot was very muddy which made it hard to carry our things out to the car

Very historic and interesting place to stay - with a big soul. Place is great, but service ( check in )could be much improved- see below.

Check in info before arrival ( map, plan of house, room number, key code, where to park ) would be helpful, as there is no reception, and lady on the phone was not very helpful or friendly to give info. One has to find out oneself or ask other guests...seems to be the intention. Dear staff, just put yourself once in the position of a first visitor! Enjoying a place starts at the entrance!

We arrived late to the location, but we called the phone number provided and someone came very quickly to check us in and explain how everything worked. Loved having the kitchen available, just for a late night snack and breakfast. Just need to prepare it yourself, but plenty of things available. Very interesting building.

Charged 10€ for the dog. Not much, but Booking didn't mention the extra fee for having a dog with us in the room.

A fantastic place to be staying at. Old building (12th or 13th century) with a lot of atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, with a small park, ponds, farm animals and art from a nearby artist collective. Room, with plenty of space and looking ancient with the broad patinated old floorboards and heavy wooden timbers in the ceiling. A self service breakfast was included in the price. It was ok. You could also do your own cooking. Interesting and friendly locals to meet. They had an interesting walpurgis cermony outside the local restaurant. This was a most memorable stay, and one of a few I give highest point.

It’s simply amazing! Such an old building with a soul, restored and redecorated in the original style. The heart of the owner and his persistence created a one of a kind place. I felt welcome and could relax and de-stress and I lingered for hours not wanting to leave this place.
