The hotel is one of the city's oldest building, a half timbered house from 1567, and therefore has a special ambience. The restaurant downstairs ('Ox') features modern German cuisine, and the hotel is located close to downtown with many restaurants in walking distance. Staff is very helpful.

There really wasn't anything that was not to like. A word of caution: Because the hotel is in a historic building you sometimes have to watch your head if you are a very tall person.

Breakfast can be improved with some more variety. Location very convenient. Staff very friendly, offered a late check out, the barman was very friendly. The front office staff (Cristina if I remember correctly) very efficient, friendly, polite and courteous

Everything was perfect

Loved the location, it's very central and in walking distance to lots of restaurants and the shopping district. The property is very well maintained and the room was spotless clean, the beds excellent, including the bedding - much better than in most hotels I have stayed in. The staff was helpful and accommodating.

Very original decor, made us feel special and fancy. Everything was very well kept up, looks exactly like the pictures.

Beautiful old building and a well-modernised room. Some older parts of the town are within easy reach but the centre is a 20 minute walk.

More helpful instructions on arriving would have helped as it is impossible to stop in front of the building whereas the rear entrance works fine. Parking in the public underground car park opposite was okay too. The restaurant seemed expensive.

Spacious room. Good location near many restaurants, and attractions

Shower system is not comfortable as shower head is almost broken. Water is too little. Check-in time is limited to 6-9pm. The staffs also work at the steak house on the first floor. So we did not bother the staffs to change the room or fix it.
