The hotel is an imposing, Victorian-looking pile close on the centre of the quite interesting town of Eisenach. Our room, though small, was well-equipped though the view was limited to an enclosed flat roof. We were there a Sunday and Monday and their restaurants were closed both those days but there were others (largely Italian) within a five minute walk. On the other hand breakfast in the quite regal dining room was first class. It is well placed for those who wish to visit the Wartburg castle for it is at the foot of the 3km walk uphill or 5 minutes walk to the bus station from which there is a regular service.

Excellent location of the hotel. Everything nearby, from Kaufland supermarket, city center, train- and bus station. Personnel is very friendly and accommodating. Because I was traveling alone I had a single-room. Bed was larger than I expected. The room was very clean. Parking at the back of the hotel for 10 Euro a day. Breakfast was sufficient, actually all you need is there. Though I myself am not vegetarian or vegan, I noticed this hotel pays attention to this at their breakfast.

The size of the room, since I was traveling alone I had a single room, maybe the other rooms are more spacious. Especially the bath room is smaller than I am used to.

Loved the atmosphere, the staff, the room we had with balcony, it was pet friendly and they had a good breakfast. They also got a restaurant in their basement that had lovely food (pictures shows)

This is not their fault as it is a very old building, but their parking space was minimal. It was full when we arrived, and we got stuck in there with the car as u have to walk to the lobby to get a code to come out from the gate. But there was a parking house not far from their hotel we could stay at that cost 12€ per 24h.

We rececieved a warm welcome and throughout all the staff were very helpful and polite (we are not German speakers). It was centrally located but quiet, easy to find, with parking available (€7/day). This was an older style, grand building (late 19th century), very well cared for and very clean and tidy. An excellent breakfast with a good range of choice. A good lounge area near the bar and reception to relax in during the evening. Wi-fi (included) was easy to access. The double room was ample for our needs, and included tea/coffee facilities.

There were no negatives to our three day stay.

I really liked this hotel. It was like stepping back in time to a more elegant era. The room was really comfortable, but it also felt that it had a touch of class in the furnishings. At the same time it had everything you needed from a more contemporary point of view. The receptionist was exceptional with good English and ready to provide information about everything I needed to know. Dinner, in the more expensive, of the two restaurants, was an exceptional experience with good food and even better service.

The hotel, it's location, the breakfast/ food, room and staff were all excellent.

As this is an older/ historic property, in the centre of town, there are limits to the facilities it can offer (e.g. it won't be able to offer a pool, gym etc.) but that is to be expected. Therefore, this is not really a downside. Everything it does offer is very good quality, in an historic hotel, in the centre of Eisenach, close to all amenities. Highly recommend.

A very elegant and classic hotel that was fully up to date. We had a balcony outside our room and the bed and facilities were good. The breakfast buffet in the morning was quite good and ample.

The hotel is on a main street so there is traffic noise, which can be eliminated by shutting the window and using the air conditioning in the summer.

Great stay. The room had plenty of space to move around, the bathroom was clean, the bed was nice, the breakfast had a variety of items to pick from, and the food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious. Plus, the atmosphere in the restaurant reminded me of the beer halls in Munich. Also liked the easy paid parking.

This is a classy hotel charging mid-market prices. For example the tables in the breakfast room had white starched tablecloths. The location is perfect - about 7 mins walk from the station with the old town just beyond (a treasure trove for Bach lovers). Buses to the historic Wartburg castle with its Luther and Wagner connections leave from just across the road.

As in virtually all hotels the shower floor was slippery. (I used the bath mat to get round this, as always!)

Excellent breakfast, welcoming and helpful reception staff, short walk to station and to town, I do like grand nineteenth century hotels. A michelin restaurant next door (sadly closed for winter) and a Bavarian beer house in the basement.

No hot water one morning and erratic heating, rooms could do with freshening up. A little scruffy around the edges. However would definitely stay here again.
