Very large room, nice quiet location. Lovely breakfast. Staff all really friendly. Very dog friendly, can even sit in a different part of the restaurant with your dog. Close to town, taxi (they allow dogs aswell) or 20 minute walk. Plenty of car parking. Spa facilities although we didn’t use them (wish we brought our swimming things but we forgot). Everyone was so nice and made a big fuss of our dog, nothing was to much for them. Thank you!

Only thing is the first night the restaurant was closed due to an event. It would have been nice to it been informed when booking. It all worked out well anyway as the lovely lady in reception booked us a taxi (which allowed dogs) so we went into the town for some food instead. Then we called the taxi company again and they took us all back.

The hotel is beautiful and well-located with easy access to Freudenstadt and beyond. The terrace room was great and a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. We didn't get to use many of the facilities, but they looked nice. Parking was easy. Breakfast was very nice. The staff, some were great, and some were still learning...

We were arriving late, after 10p with flight delays, driving in from Frankfurt. No one was available to talk to on the phone after 8pm. We called relentlessly and even had Booking.com step in to assist. Booking couldn't reach them either. It was a nerve-wracking experience to keep driving not knowing if we'd be able to check in once we got there.. with no other reservations somewhere else. The restaurant staff was "in the weeds" it was almost comical during dinner service but you could tell a lot of patrons weren't happy. The front desk needs work. But overall, it didn't ruin the stay.

Lovely location on the edge of town with a nice open park adjacent to the hotel, handy if you've got a dog and need some green space around. Our room had a great balcony, which gave extra space and allowed us to open up the doors and enjoy the fresh air. Must say, the restaurant is superb, really excellent staff both at dinner and breakfast, and we couldn't fault the food. Very good. Brilliant location for not only visiting Freudenstadt (which is lovely) but as a base for drives along the stunning 500 route and stop offs in the Black Forest National Park.

Nice hotel with large, comfortable, and very clean rooms. A bit outside the city, so it was quite and surrounded by green. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. The indoor pool was open for long hours, so even if we got back late-ish we still had time for it

We were during a short heat wave, and the rooms have no A/C so it got a bit hot during the night. Even a ceiling fan would have been enough. To get from the lobby to the rooms you either have to go outside to another entrance, or go down to the pool level, then back up... A bit strange...

This hotel is a bit like a lodge and spa located at the outskirts of Freudenstadt, in the Black Forest region. We chose it as a home base from which we explored the Black Forest by car. Our room was standard, with two chairs, nice bathroom, and a balcony terrace. There’s an indoor pool and spa that we didn’t have the time to enjoy. Breakfast choices were many and were offered in the large restaurant dining room. A comfortable attractive hotel with on-site parking.

We wish there were more comfortable chairs in the room.

We liked the bed, it was a quiet room and spacious. Good breakfast and the heating in the room was turned off the first night and we requested to the reception to turn it on the next night, which they managed to do.

Unfortunately the pool was not heated and when we went for breakfast the second day there was no table for two available. We therefore took a seat on a bigger table and the waitress told us that as there is no available space for the main breakfast room we had to move in the back room that it was not our preference. We thought that it was very impolite to make us stand and move while we were eating. If the table is reserved it should be noticed before the customer is seating. Additionnaly there is not application such as Netflix on the smartTV

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and the bed was one of the most comfortable ones I have experienced in a European hotel. The restaurant was yummy. Everything from cake to venison goulash was very good.

The wellness area was not renovated and as that was the purpose of our visit, it was a bit disappointing. The pool area is lovely and we very much enjoyed that, but the sauna, infrared cabin and steam room are outdated and not very nice. The outdoor area is not welcoming (employee smoking outside etc).

Nice area- property is big and has many seating areas inside and out. Dinner was great. Breakfast offered a lot of different items. The reception area was inviting and the reception desk made out of a log was so beautiful!

The decor was a bit confusing. Between ultra modern and old German. There were Cobra snake lamps- deer- elephants- and other animals.African vibe and German vibe mixed . Everything was clean, spacious and well kept!

Very comfortable hotel with a lovely restaurant and excellent food. The staff were very helpful and the room was spacious and comfy. Very clean and a nice view over the woods. Plently of free parking. A shame we didn't have time to try the pool but it looks great.

Firmer pillow choice would be great, these are very very soft which isn't appropriate for everyone.

Very kind and welcoming staff. The room and facilities were immaculate and spotless. The bed was comfy. We can only recommend this hotel—good starting point for excursions. The breakfast buffet was nice and we enjoyed a lovely dinner (a la carte) at the terrasse.

It would be nice to have a smart TV- for English-speaking/ foreign customers. Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights, so it didn't really bother us.
