We were travelling with family and booked two comfort rooms with forest Views. Both rooms were very comfortable with the additional feature of a kettle for the purpose of making tea or coffee drinks. Several pillows were provided. We ate in the restaurant on two nights and found the meals to be of a good standard. The breakfast was fine as well with home baked bread and pastries. We used the pool but not the spa areas on this occasion.There is a bus stop situated just outside the hotel on the main road. The bus is free to use if you have paid the spa tax and takes about 5 minutes to take you to the centre of the local town. Hand sanitiser points are situated near reception and buffet area.

Well located for walks through the Black Forest. Restaurant provided hearty, tasty, German fare. Typical German buffet breakfast. Free parking. Nice indoor pool.

There are earthworks partially completed adjacent to the property that takes away some ambience. Was a little shocked by the behaviour of a male guest who casually walked with his robe open (no swimwear) in the spa area. Not sure if this was just a cultural difference & considered acceptable German spa etiquette?😳

excellent service, kitchen and location.

booked an apartment got a (admittetly big) room. the terrace (balcony) was half built, building materials were stored on the terrace. rather ugly view of the fantastic location like that. too expensive acommodation. besides that, very nice place to stay with great staff and kitchen.

Location is perfect. Miles and miles of trails in the Black Forest directly from the hotel. The food is worthy of a Michelin star. The hotel and staff are very polite and charming.

It is a coasy hotel not far away from Freudenstadt. The staff is very friendly and we felt very welcomed. The Welness area is small but has everything you need and is not overcrowded. We liked it very much.

Beautiful hotel in a very picturesque area. We were upgraded when we arrived which was a pleasant surprise and my room was exceptional. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast was very good quality and plenty of choice. The setting at the rear was very picturesque with the small lake and woodland with great walks.

We were looking for a place in nature to relax for a weekend and we are happy we chose this hotel. The staff has been especially friendly and they were always in a good mood, which made us feel very welcomed. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and we loved that most ingredients were from local vendors. We also really appreciated that we could rent E-bikes for free which made exploring the forest a real joy. Parking was easy as the parking space is pretty spacious.

The location of this beautiful hotel, deep within the Black Forest and next to a peaceful lake is really breathtaking. The rooms - ours with a balcony overlooking the lake were really clean and well equipped. The restaurant serves excellent quality, traditional black forest cuisine. The spa, sauna and swimming pool add that extra attraction to staying in this exceptional hotel

The spa, at times was quite crowded and so not so convenient. Hard to find any other negative points..

This is a lovely, relaxing hotel. The setting is idyllic and as we had a balcony overlooking the little lake it was lovely. The food was brilliant and staff were mostly lovely.
