The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with a huge parking lot and perfect connection to the public transport of Hamburg. It takes only a few minutes with the bus to the next train station and only 45 Minutes to reach the city center. The Spa offerings are a delight. For us the breakfast was our personal highlight of the day. The selection is phenomenal and the staff acts attentive and discreet. We loved our stay.

Super friendly staff. It is actually quote remarkable how attentive the staff is and how ‘personable’ they try to be in coversations. Believe this is their BIG strength that sets then apart from other hotels. The rooms are very large. Green and calm environment. Dog friendly. Nice welcoming lobby and garden terasse. Super clean.

The facilities are a bit older and slightly dated at places. In the room for instance the furniture is still in good state but could/should be updated to bring it to more modern standards. The desk and side tables as an example are quite old fashioned. Bathroom need an upgrade. Again they were very clean but age shows. Taking a shower in the bath tub resulted in water spilling on the floor in the bathroom. Restaurants in the evening too expensive, no less formal formula available I think if overall the hotel could upgrade and update to a more modern standard, this woild attract an additional clientèle as unfortunately now it left us feeling a bit as ‘stuck in old glory’. There is more potential as it’s a great place with a very strong base. - it’s staff!

We obviously got a bargain rate for this hotel as we've tried to re-book for our return trip and it was twice the price! Well worth what we paid - the room was fantastic, with provision for our dog. Very clean, comfy bed, good size bathroom with proper basin area that you can actually put stuff on. The breakfast was *amazing* - anything you could have thought of was there. I even had a cheeky bucks fizz :) One of the few hotels I've stayed in recently that actually still has a mini bar (payable, of course) - a nice touch. Short walk to neighbouring wooded parkland areas. We didn't eat here but the menu looked great (although somewhat expensive).

I enjoyed the tranquil location of this hotel. It is not a tourist destination, more of a business or weekend getaway stay location. I was able to walk the 20mins to the S bahn to go into the city centre. The staff are charming.

The neighbourhood is a bit boring. I wouldn't stay there unless it was for work.

The room was quite big, soundproof and very clean. The facility is very well kept with a charming touch. The breakfast was nice especially the fresh orange juice machine. The garden and nearby forest are great to enjoy the summer outside.

The suite had a nice design, the room service & food were great, and the extra treats for our dog were the icing on the cake :) The bathrobe & slippers were highly appreciated too! High-quality service from everyone & most were English-speaking.

It would elevate the experience to have a bathtub inside the room & a conditioner/balsam for the shower.

Excellent hotel, good breakfast selection, free parking, close to the A7 highway. Reasonable price. I recommend it.

The breakfast was very nice although the juice wasn't fresh. Otherwise extensive and of a high standard. The staff were brilliant and we could see the supervisors training the rest of the staff to do things well. We asked for a quiet room. It looked out on the beautiful grounds surrounding the buildings. It is a family affair and they really care that you have a good time.

Not totally unexpected you had to pay for the sauna. It was nice there but in spite of booking slots the first day was awkward as there were too many people. The booking system was improved after that. We were happy but if you don't have a car it is probably not that suitable for Hamburg. I understand there is public transport though.

Beautiful traditional property with fabulous staff and very nice breakfast.

Our second visit was in July and sadly because of numbers breakfast was served in the ballroom which was nowhere near as special as the breakfast room overlooking the garden.

Great service from friendly staff. Practical parking right outside. Short distance from/to A7. An in-house very nice and good restaurant. Spacious facilities with nice rooms. Quiet area. They accept dogs.

Nothing to dislike.
