In this off-season early November, the restaurant would not be in use much and I planned to have breakfast elsewhere anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that kitchen personnel offered to bring tee or coffee to my room. I liked the firm mattress, the big working-desk table in the room, the perfectly clean bathroom, and being able to open windows in room and bathroom and easily control the efficient heating myself. I also liked the wood plank floor in the bedroom - so much more hygienic than then the typical American hotel room with carpet floor of questionable cleanliness and/or bad smells from chemical cleaning agents or room refresher sprays. The location in small well-kept village near a small pond and park and in walking distance from accessible farm fields and local forest in nice fall colors, perfect for a morning walk or run in crisp fresh air and totally quiet environment. The Main Street through tehvillage is not much travelled and and night nearly perfectly still.

The village had no shops but with a car or bike or even the infrequent public transit bus line it was not far (about 10 km?) to the next town, where you can get everything (e.g. Trittau) you like. Some travelers noted some dust balls under the bed or a yellowish toilet seat (obviously confusing aging color with dirtyness) and if you like a totally dust-free impeccable clean environment, you have to pay much more or stay in town and probably abandon your own home.

The shower drain in our room was terribly clogged, which apparently caused issues in the room below ours The floors were dirty, dustbunnies behind/underneath furniture We couldn’t get breakfast unless we wanted to wait untill after 9h30 (was not convenient for us)

on Sunday morning 8am when we were leaving reception was locked, nobody around.

When we complained about the dusty room, they promptly gave us another room

The first room was really dusty. There was nobody in the morning to serve breakfast. We left at eight o'clock without the possibility of paying for the dinner. We left a message via booking.com, but there's no reply after two days.
