Love this place so much we extended our stay. Lovely cross between old charm and modern, clean decor. The sauna and pools were AMAZING. They are a bit dark with natural wood and comfortable lighting. There are lounge chairs with natural light. Had a great nap each morning after the sauna and swim. We had come from frankfurt, which was not easy or fun. We were tired and cranky, Katarina checked us in. She was very kind and patient. She gave us a her personal promise we had a quiet room. WE DID! Through our stay she went Above and beyond to help us. She had a true spirit of Hospitality. It was obvious she loves what she does and does it whole heartedly, (and she is good at it.) She makes this property great! Breakfast was good! European and American style. Eggs, sausage, pastries, rolls, meats, cheeses, fruit, and everything else you would expect. Location was good for us but suggest a car. Everything we needed was within 5 minutes, restaurants, bars, Aldi's, grocery stores. About 20 minutes from everything else, museums, Cotton club and Sternschanze, the really cool area to shop. The decor is clean and we'll kept. Housekeeping was nice. Ladies: Check out the showerhead. In my room, it was gooood! If/when we come back, this is where we will be staying.

The room was exceptionally clean and cosy. We also received additional bathrobes and towels to use in the wellness, spa & fitness area. The swimming pool was actually a great size for such a relatively small facility, the water was great, and the lounges were very cosy. The area is very peaceful and with not too frequent or noisy traffic.

The WiFi quality was very, very poor. It is one of those MobyClick networks, which was going on and off all the time, was not stable at all, and had to be reconnected frequently. The nearest supermarket is 15-20 minutes walking distance. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, and the soap was scarce.

Modern, smart and comfortable hotel, in good location. Room was spacious and spotless, ample parking. Nice friendly welcome at reception. Excellent breakfast buffet but at extra cost - not like the good old days in Germany where breakfast was almost always “inklusiv”..!!

Together with the breakfast price, this was not a cheap overnight stay, but the choice of hotels on this side of Hamburg is limited. The Italian restaurant on site that looked excellent, was closed ( It was a Monday) the hotel did provide advice on local restaurants that were open. I understand however the restaurant is not technically part of the hotel..albeit in same building. OK.

Room : comfortable but the room on mean street is noisy because the cars, bus , kids etc.. Other room was calm. so it depends. Breakfast : was ok. Clean. Yes it was clean. Sraff at the reception were very good and very helpful and available.

noise of the mean street room 125. night and early morning. too much traffics and kids going to school taking the bus . cars, trucks. Missing room indication to not disturb. In the morning the cleaning personal knocked at the door etc..

The room, pool and staff were excellent. The breakfast was exceptional!

There is no an electric kettle for coffee or tea in the room, which would be very convenient. To get morning coffee or tea you need to go downstairs and you’ll get them only if you order a breakfast, which is sad

Little bit of travel to get into city but soon figured it out and good public transport.

Friendly and very helpful personnel. Generous breakfast . Bed was super comfortable, soft pillow and excellent quality bedlinen. Easy access to public transport.

It would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Very nice staff, free use of the sauna for 1 day of your stay. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the staff super helpful. For example they gave us the pro's and cons of the Hamburg Pass.

Breakfast was perfect variety of food and drinks (tomato juice was my favorite). Place was little to hard to find first time very discrete. Pool and sauna was clean and it was only for us.

I like that everything looks fancy, but vintage, like from the 80s. They even have a bowling area, which was close, but still cool. They also had a party while we were there, but zero noises. The swimming pool... exquisite.

They dont offer any special treat, like toothpaste or a candy, or something. Even thou it is a 4 stars hotel. There is a restaurante at the corner, which is very friendly, but kind of exensive for the area.
