We booked here because all other places were full. The reviews were bad so we expected the worse. When we arrived we found that there is actually nothing wrong with this hotel. Yes, it's in a repurposed old tenement building, but it's clean and our room was very spacious and had mostly new furniture. It's a bit quirky and I wonder if the bad reviewers are somewhat spoilt and freak out as soon as something is different. We even had an old Chippendale-like leather sofa in it. Even the location is not that bad. Yes it's 6km from the city centre, but it's a lively place with parks, supermarkets and lots of restaurants and cafés where you get good food for half the price of what you pay in the city.

A hot water kettle would have been good. Also, there are very few power points, so a power board would have been helpful.

This place deserves better reviews. Of course it is not great but it is cheaper than anywhere else in Hamburg so it’s worth it. The room was big and was clean. The staff are very friendly. The area is fine and you are near the train station. Would stay here again if I return

A little dirty floors

Polite staff, large rooms, decent beds, good heating, not luxurious, but practical enough.

A little noisy traffic light is heard nearby.

Main road in Hamburg but the place and hotel mostly dark and lots of strange people around may be they are refugees or something could not tell you exactly
