We received a friendly welcome upon arrival and, upon our enquiry of suitable places for an evening meal, received a suggestion for Restaurant Heimathafen which we would highly recommend, located approximately 1 mile away in the town centre. The hotel's rooms are spread over 3 upper floors, although there isn't a lift. On-site free car parking exists for approximately 12 vehicles, with ample additional space on the surrounding streets - with 11kw EV charging close by - of this light industrial area. The location meant that overnight it was quiet, even with the window open. (Having the window open was the only obvious way of adjusting the temperature as the room was otherwise quite warm). Our room was simply but adequately appointed, although there were not any tea & coffee making facilities. Our double bed was actually 2 single mattresses together, although this did not pose us any problem as it was very comfortable. The shower had great pressure and a good temperature range. Whilst the hotel did not have a separate secure storage area for a bike, the staff were happy for us to keep it in the room (even though it had to be carried up the stairs) - there was plenty of space. The room for breakfast is fairly small and this may cause a problem if all guests arrived for breakfast at the same time. There was a good range of items for the continental breakfast which was tasty. We will be happy to stay here again if travelling in this region.

This seems to be a family run business therefore the people working there care about the level of service they provide. Everyone was super friendly. The rooms are decently sized and they were renovated not too long ago. Best shower water pressure I had in a very long time. The breakfast was small but very good and whenever we needed something they were very fast in replenish things. Considering that hotels in Hamburg are pricey this is a good option and the prices are very reasonable.

The location is a bit in the middle of the nowhere but we knew that in advance. There is not elevator and while that does not affect us it is good for other people to know about this.

clean and comfortable room with ample storage space for coats and smaller clothing items. Water pressure in the shower was good, hot water almost immediately. Card access to the hotel so we were able to return to the hotel in the early hours, after a night in Hamburg, without waiting for a night porter. Light switches and sockets on both sides of the bed. Good WiFi throughout the hotel. A good buffet breakfast: a wide selection, cereals, eggs, sausages, pastries and fruit. No noise from neighbouring rooms.

slight smell of the drains in the bathroom. Very noisy in the street outside the room between 5 and 6. Bin collection. We had the window open, perhaps if it was closed we wouldn't have noticed anything.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful as you could choose what you wanted from the selection available. Also you could come and go as you pleased as the room card also opened the main door.

The location was not great for exploring Hamburg as it was well outside the city and based in the middle of an industrial estate. So to get there meant a journey on the metro followed by a bus journey.

Very nice people at the reception and very nice breakfast. It's a quite place to stay, still close to the high way. The rooms are nicely decorated and have very good size.

Pipes had an unpleasant smell in bathroom sometimes. But everything was extremely clean!

The hotel was a stopover for a long drive and for that purpose it was great! I also didn’t realise that the reception was not 24 hour and I arrived after 10pm but I was accommodated despite that and was let into my room in very short order. Comfortable bed, dressed Nordic style (double bed with two individual duvets and square pillows). The bathroom was lovely. The breakfast was ok and enough. Will definitely use again. Thanks very much!

It is located on an industrial estate but I didn’t need to use any leisure facilities and was just using it to stop overnight so it was perfect for that! I was a little concerned at leaving my car out on the street as the carpark was full (capacity maybe 8-10 cars) but it was fine in the end.

This hotel is really underrated! it deserves much higher rating👍 Very clean and modern. there was very silent at night. Breakfast is very good 👌

We were very late for check-in - that was no problem, very smooth experience. Staff was available around clock. Room was very clean, we had a family room with 2 rooms and each had a TV, each bed had a little sweet and we had 2 bottles of water. That was nice. Rooms and everything looks modern, done with taste, clean and new. Breakfast room is not big, but it is lovely and we had no problems with size. At breakfast personnel took good care of us, asking questions like if we want to have fresh eggs - they'd do it, other food was topped very fast. There were nice choice of cheese, fresh fruits (our kids loved it) and different sweet stuff like raisins in chocolate, nuts - choice was not very usual for hotels but that was very nice to have. Personnel are very caring and kind. Location is very calm. Parking was no problem.

We were only for 1 night there to sleep and go - for us everything was great. Though location is in industrial area and without a car might be difficult to get somewhere. Just to mention: no elevator - but for us it was not a problem.

Friendly staff at a clean, safe and comfortable location. The breakfast is good and parking is available in a small lot or on the street. One of my favorite spots around Hamburg.
