The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the centre of Ingolstadt and we were particularly pleased with the secure, private underground parking. We are more than happy to pay for a locked garage in the centre of a town or city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; reception, breakfast and room staff. Good sized room, lift, no noise from the road outside, desk with upright seat and two comfortable chairs (too often these days we find a room for two people only has one chair). Good sized bathroom with 2 wash handbasins. Sadly for us the restaurant was closed the evening we were there; we could see it is popular by the number of people there for lunch the next day. However, it was no problem because there is a lovely cafe / restaurant right opposite. Although there is no coffee / tea making facilities in the room, these are provided on the second floor. We found the breakfast good with ample variety.

The room was very cold when we arrived and, although we turned the heating up to full immediately, it stayed cold till bed time. Luckily 2 fleece blankets were provided, so we wrapped ourselves up in those to keep warm. We totally agree with not heating unoccupied rooms, but, if the hotel knows it is going to allocate a room in mid-winter, it would be welcoming to arrive to a cosy, warm room. The bathroom was equally cold, exacerbated but the freezing marble tiles on the floor. The floors on one side of the hotel are very creaky; avoid rooms in the old building and avoid the room right by the coffee making facilities!

Hotel Rappensberger exceeded my expectations. It’s ideally located in the heart of Altstadt, making it very convenient. For me, the standout was the staff — absolutely 11/10 — they truly made the experience exceptional. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. I visit Ingolstadt once or twice a year, and from now on, this will be my go-to place to stay.

I have nothing negative to say about my stay at Hotel Rappensberger.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in all respects – great location, clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, well-furnished, well-lit, seating area + desk, pleasing decor, excellent ‘up-off-the-ground’ luggage space, modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, friendly-helpful staff, great restaurant, good wifi, lovely tea / coffee making facilities area on the 2nd floor (as none provided in the rooms), splendid breakfast with nice variety & happily the hotel has a lift / elevator !

Nothing though a retractable clothes line over the bath would have been appreciated.

A perfect getaway in the heart of old Ingolstadt. The staff was friendly and gave us great recommendations for food and walking, parking was safe, and continental breakfast was delicious and ample. The beds were SUPER comfy. Highly recommend.

Like many old hotels, the water pressure was only okay... but you get your own bathroom, and there was even a vending machine for beer and wine.

Very good selection of foods for breakfast and they also had a good restaurant with outside dining area.Right in the old part of town with plenty of restaurants and cafes.Interesting historical museum in an old castle and two other museums in a fortified area on the other side of the river.Attractive walks beside moat and walks in woodland and parks. Two bottles of water are supplied free so I put them in the mini-fridge.

Of minor fault is the mini fridge is described as a mini-bar and the room is meant to overlook a garden but there is no garden,only the outside restaurant area with small potted trees. In hot weather I only got a view of the parasols apart from Monday when the restaurant was closed and two parasols were folded down.

Nice hotel, very well located in city center (but only 10 min away from highway). Room was very nice, clean, warm, wifi working without any issues. Parking in underground garage is possible so it's a greag advantage in winter and the biggest plus is breakfast - it was just amazing!

Heater regulation was not working (at was set to max possible value all the time) so we slept with heater on and opened window - not very nice if we consider current energy market and ecology - fixing may save you some money ☺

The location in the old city was perfect, close to bus lines also. The room was large with two chairs (which we love in a hotel room), the beds were comfortable and (because there were no traffic outside) the most quiet hotel room we have ever visited. No ventilation or anything - just quiet - perfect. Breakfast was plenty and good.

Excellent location, just few minutes from downtown. Very good breakfast for the price. Hotel also offers parking garage for 9 euros per day, which is also handy if you come by car. All and all it should definitely be 4* hotel instead of current 3*. Staff was very helpful.

Location is perfect, in the city center. The bus stop is at 5 min walking. The room was really big as well as the bathroom. There’s a big closet also. The breakfast has many options and the staff is very friendly. It was my birthday so they gave a tiramisu with a candle :)

A suggestion: there’s no lactose-free milk available in the breakfast. There’s no hair dryer in the bathroom.

We were a group of 3 with separate rooms.we all loved our stay at the Rappensberger. Everything about it was excellent. Private car parking is available. The whole hotel has a very pleasant feel about it. Our room’s were spotless and they also provide an excellent breakfast. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk to nice restaurant’s and coffee shops etc. what really made our stay was the staff. everyone was super friendly especially the receptionists who were outstanding, professional and hugely helpful. We all wanted to stay longer but the hotel was fully booked and I can understand why.
