Quiet large room, all what needed available, amazing breakfast (fruit salad handmade) and enough for Picknick at lunch for our hikes. Very friendly hosts with a lot of Tipps to find orchids and also having dinner.

Someone like us Traveling without car (public transport not close) has to be prepared to walk daily 1.5-2.5 km to the different restaurants for dinner.

Although my German language is not good but their support is exceptional. The mountain view and the planted various flowers make the peacful atmosphere more interesting. One of the reasons I always book this hotel whenever I come to Jena for work is their breakfast 😋

The little house, which was our room, was very quiet and nice. Everything you need is there. Coffee, cutlery, tea...etc. Parking is a little bit confusing for us in the beginning because we made a wrong turn and went to the reception via the wrong street. But once it was explained, it was easy to park and then walk through the reception grounds to our house.

100% recommend. Very clean rooms, everything you need is available in the rooms, staff(owners) is very patient and friendly. Bonus, very friendly dogo (Tony) will greet you!

Room was spacious and quiet. Very near to the highway so we did a stopover on our way to Berlin. Breakfast spread was very good. We were late for our breakfast and the host made another cappucino for my hubby.

Quite a few stairs to maneuver which is a challenge if you have heavy bags.

It was quiet, clean and the mattress was comfortable

The owner was not friendly. He never smiled once and would never reply with "bitteschön" when I said "dankeschön". He was annoyed when I asked to check out at 10:00 (I was driving across Germany, so needed to rest) which is a very normal check out time. In the end, the latest I could stay until was 9:45. I was always polite with him but he generally just seemed annoyed at my presence. I did not feel welcome at all. Not recommended if you do not speak German.
