Location chosen for closeness to Drachenberg Castle. Receptionist was brilliant. We were booked into a standard room but asked to change as we did not like the glass shower cubical being in the same room as the beds. Apparently all the rooms are like this hence we upgraded to one of the apartments for a few extra €s. The apartment we had was great, spacious, clean and well appointed. It also provided excellent access for the free parking directly in front of the apartment door. Nearby there is a lovely wood to walk the dog. In terms of food, breakfast was just OK.

Great location near the motorway, comfortable spacious rooms, clean and tidy with more beds that I could sleep on, rooms are designed for families travelling together, ideal to have the option of a non smoker room, perfect and quiet for a night sleep when driving through or out of the country.

I had a great experience here, only thing the miniature pillows that they provide, would be perfect if you could get normal size pillows for a good night sleep instead of the very very small ones .

The hotel is next to the Autobahn, very easy to find, if you arrive in time, there are plenty of parking sports to choose from. If you get hungry after a long day of driving, there is a McDonalds a few steps away. The rooms are always clean and tidy, beds are comfy, shower has good waterpressure. The hotel usually gets booked by the evening, however its always kinda quiet, I never had trouble with noise. I'm generally travelling with my pet dog Yorkie, he likes the walks around the building, the highlight for him is checking on the donkeys hanging out in their pen behind the carpark. The breakfast is pleasant for the price, everything is fresh. Staff is lovely, always smiling, which is a delight to start your day with, especially if you have a long trip ahead of you. If you want to fill up the car, there are several petrol stations available in the village, basically a minute from the hotel, and their prices are usually lower than the Autobahn ones. There are shops (Rewe, Aldi, Dm etc) next to them too, in case you would need to buy anything. All in all, the Ibis is perfectly convenient for a good night stay! :)

When booking, It would be helpful to read something about public transport to the hotel from Königswinter Hbf. (bus nr 521, abt. 15 minutes). In my case that would have avoided my travelling by S-Bahn from Bonn Hbf. which took an awful 25 minutes with numerous stops, ending downtown Königswinter near the river Rhine. And from there as yet bus 521 into the hills, with a stop in front of Königswinter Hbf. There I realized what an enormous unnecessary detour I had made, i/o simply catching the train from Bonn Hbf. But I was told to go by S-Bahn by someone.

We stayed at budget hotels before when travelling on long journeys. Nothing can compare even close to this one. Rooms were super! Big, clean, modern. Toilet was very nice too. Shower great. And then the mattress!!! Mmmmmm comfy! We are def marking this one on the map for next time! Price was no more than the other cheap and crappy ones, so well worth your money!

Had issues with auto-check-in at the door. Didn't recognise my reservation. The night guard sorted access out though, which was good. He didn't have all the info immediately, which at midnight can be a bit stressful, but I'm nitpicking. Also in the morning I had to go twice to the reception in order to pay as they weren't open. A bit inconvenient if you need to get away early and quick.

1. Checkin was an automated process 2. Room was clean and layout was better than other ibis budget hotels that we have stayed in 3. Parking was free and we got a spot 4. The lady at the reception in the morning who okayed our checkout was nice :)

The guy (sorry, cant call him a gentleman) at the reception during the evening when we checked in. We had a minor question about the parking and he refused to talk to us in anything other than German. His inability to speak in English wasnt a problem but his attitude definitely was. Not a smile, not an apology (we did apologise that we dont speak German), no intention to help people out... Such people shouldn't be working in the hospitality business, in my opinion.

Perfect accommodation for people that look for a last minute option close to the highway with an affordable price. Breakfast was very rich for a good price. The place is dog friendly and the surrounding is very nice.

There was a low bunk bed over our bed made out of iron and I accidentally bumped my head into it in the dark.

Perfect place for an overnight stop on a road-trip. The staff was super friendly, and you can even check in on your own outside working hours. There are vending machines in the lobby if you need anything quickly. The room was spacious and clean, with sift bed and blankets. The pillow was a little small, but manageable for one night.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I really loved the layout of the room. For once the bathroom, although small, is really well thought of, including the lighting system which allows to use the bathroom without waking up the rest of the family, although they are sleeping in the same room. The breakfast was also very nice. The hotel is conveniently located next to a highway exit so perfect for a one night stay and continue our trip.

For the price, nothing to complain about.

Very nice and clean, we had a family room and there was a little kitchen in the room. Very comfortable beds. Free parking and super close to the motorway. Very good breakfast, with lots of options to choose from, with a little corner for children.
