1. Location is on the lake with the most wonderful views. Easy walk from the railway station on the island. 2. Breakfast buffet really excellent with large plates to ensure you do not leave hungry. Special word for the industrial juicer which we used every day. 3. Staff are great with special mention of the Slovakian guy who welcomed us on arrival. Excellent ambassador for the hotel. 4. No coffee facilities in our room but on the 4th floor a “tea / relaxation” area with super coffee bean to cup machine which you can use at any time. 5. Rooms 214 & 215 have small front facing balconies which have the most amazing views (see photo)

1. Minibar in room had a bottle of water … that was it. Online menu for room service in German so no use to me. Went out to local shop and filled fridge with beer, coke and gin. Hotel could have made more money but for some reason nope? 2. Basement pool too small for semi-serious swimming. Top pool only for naked people. Hmmm

Great welcome from the staff, squeezing us into the parking which we had not booked, a nice touch with the welcome drink. Location is outstanding, our little balcony looked directly over the port and was great to enjoy a drink and listen to music being played on the harbour. Two spas to cater for all tastes was great. Not the cheapest place but worth it for the location.

Super location directly at Lindau port. Really nice Wellness according to the space possibilities of the hotel. Big roof sauna. Parking is expensive but worth to pay it, because it was also possible to park the bikes. Comfortably close to hotel. Breakfast was high quality and nicely arranged. Nice cheese selection. Prosecco available. Staff was super fast and friendly to serve the coffee.

During our 7 nights stay there was no change in the variety of the breakfast. Noisy during the night due to location. Not possible to sleep with open window. But can be solved by closing the window that is well isolated.

The location of the hotel was amazing, really convenient and beautiful. Secondly, the breakfast was very rich and tasty, so many options to choose from. The spa was nice and relaxing, but the rooftop pool could have been bigger. The staff was always helpful and nice. Room was clean and spacy.

The rooftop terace and pool were lovely however, you need to be naked there as it was nude swimming. The problem was that there are houses around so people can see to the terrace. Another negative aspect is that there is no parking at the hotel, but they offer remote parking (only 10min walk) which is really small.

Amazing location 2 mins from the train station with the Christmas markets right on our door step. Breakfast was included and very tasty with a good variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an indoor pool and sauna which was great to use. Welcome drinks were very appreciated too!

I didn't see an aircon unit so it might be a bit warm for summer but no real complaints! Would be nice to have access to a laundry.

Excellent Lakefront location with view of Harbor, Lake and Mountains. Reception, Bell, and Restaurant Staff Extremely Polite and Helpful. Breakfast Buffet Outstanding and Delicious! Room very Light, Bright, and Well-Appointed. Nice Touches were Complimentary Glasses of Prosecco at Check-In, Loaf of Bread and Bottled Water for Journey Home at Check-Out. FYI - I have taught at one of the premier hospitality schools in Zürich for the past 15 years, so have special expertise and experience in this regard! :-)

Nothing - Everything was much to our liking!

Our stay at hotel Helvetia was a really lovely experience. The attention to detail was outstanding. The location directly at the harbor with view to the lighthouse, the tower and the lion-monument from our room was incredibly beautiful. The infinity pool is relatively small, suitable for one - two couples at the same time maximum and a mindful occupation is recommended. Long breakfast hours, the quality of the food and finally, the check out time (11.30 AM) were unusually generous. We got a little good bye lunch packet on our way out. The restaurant food had some excellent dishes (great location directly at the harbor front), in our opinion too slanted towards meat. This is an excellent hotel with character.

When we arrived, there was a dog bed, blanket and bowls for our pet, which was really nice! Our room was also very nice, quiet and clean with a comfy bed. The breakfast spread was amazing with a lot to choose from, even gluten free and lactose free options. The hotel was in the best location. You can walk everywhere, since Lindau is very small. If you arrive by car, make sure you book the parking in advance, because I think there are limited spots.

We did a late booking, so our room had no lake views, only a view into a small, quiet alley, but still very quiet. This is not a complaint! But I will book a lake view next time !

The location is amazing, reception lady was very helpful and nice . Also the breakfast was the best we have ever had.

The best part of the spa was naked zone only that we didn’t know before. Also I specifically asked about the rooftop pool opening time and when I went there in the morning it was not prepared so I didn’t get to enjoy the pool I was most excited about. Also garage is not next to the hotel , you have to walk around 2 minutes to the hotel.

This was the best boutique hotel we have stayed at all over the world as there was so much love and detail in every aspect of the entire experience. The room was spacious and lovely, the gym and pools were exceptional, as were the relaxing areas with a magnificent view over looking Lake Constance. The breakfasts were superb and the location outstanding. We will be back!
