A terrific hotel in the centre of town. Our family booked two rooms and we were in the same corridor a few rooms away which was great. Both rooms were large, tastefully decorated and had lots of storage. Lovely bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows. Blinds and curtains which blocked out the light. Quiet air con! Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous with a mix of hot and cold dishes to choose from. The hotel has a bike store round the back to keep bikes in which was helpful to us. The pool is great but we didn’t go in the all naked sauna bit as we were with kids!

Re the spa, firstly it’s not possible to reach the spa by stairs. It’s one floor down from reception but the staff informed us to take a lift, which takes you to a small hall area where you need a fob to get in. Not great if you are claustrophobic or if you have issues with the fob. Once we were finished in the spa we attempted to use another lift near the 16+ area and it wasn’t possible to get to our room. It’s not clear at all which lifts go where, or how to access certain rooms so we walked around corridors for a while! We ended up walking out a door which took us onto the main road so we had to run back into the hotel in our robes! There were LOTS of snacks in the rooms away from the minibar and it wasn’t clear if any of it was free. We assumed not so left them.

Location to city centre, shops, Lakeland Zeppelin museum. The rooms were super clean, spacious and sound proof. We slept well and were not disturbed throughout the night and early morning. Fabulous breakfast buffet with lots of choices. The wellness spa was also a welcomed bonus to relax on a wet day! Staff were polite and helpful.

Hotel parking limited. We were lucky to park in the last spot. The hotel wing we were in only had one elevator access to breakfast and lobby so had to wait a little during busy times. It was fine for us however we didn’t mind as our hotel wing was quiet.

Room - large, perfectly endowed and organized, silence, linen, bathroom, coach, TV, safebox, etc Breakfast - rich, diversified, tasty, healthy Location - walking distance from lake shore, still accessible by car - pedestrian zone, but hotel guests allowed to access the hotel. Own parking at 9 Euro/night - great advantage. Spa, swimming pool of reasonable dimension.

The hotel is large - probably over 150 rooms. Breakfast room may be crowded - but the matter is perfectly managed. There are even announcements on the walls about occupation rate depending on time slots.

City Krone is located in the pedestrian zone of Friedrichshafen, a few steps from the lake with restaurants and amenities. The hotel is excellent in service, facilities and cleanliness. It has little touches like the roof terrace with lake view, fruits, drinks and fresh popcorn in the lobby. Bar and wellness center are great, the breakfast is excellent. City Krone my preferred place to stay in Friedrichshafen.

Great location, fantastic breakfast selection and very comfortable room. Modern wellness centre. Nice artworks decorating the hotel.

We stayed with our pet, but there was nowhere for us to sit with him for the buffet breakfast (usually hotels which allow pets have a space specifically for this). Instead, we had to carry our buffet breakfast (and table settings, etc.) quite a long way down a hall. It was not a big deal, but it’s not up to the “usual” standard we experience at other hotels.

Good breakfast, attentive and very friendly staff, spacious and clean spa area with great options.

Some of the furniture had scratches and permanent marks. The toilet wasn't properly cleaned when we checked into our room. They cleaned it within minutes, but did not properly check. The flush was still dirty.

- city view is view to the parking area (can be a positive if being able to check your car from your room is making you calmer) - would appreciate translations to english

The swimming pool was good, the sun deck was a really nice surprise too. And the staff would always drop what they're doing as soon as I even aproached the counter. Really putting the guest on the #1 spot.

The pillow was a bit strange in shape. But otherwise, no complaints at all!

The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too and nice tea collection.

Pillows were too flat. Elevator is slow and does not seem to use logic when opening doors (z.B. when going up, it opens for guests going down, so they join you up and then down

The staff was great and they remember me (because I often come to FDH for work travel) and gave me a free upgrade to a bigger and nicer room. Thank you!

Would be great to also have a little gym for exercise especially on longer work trips and the weather is getting colder so cannot go for walk.
