Simply everything, Friendly Staff, Clean place, size of the room, room view and design. But the Staff members and view were a highlight for me! Location was also good, but it is not the only hotel there, so I would say, it is quite a smart decision from the city (I guess).

This is not a big matter, but good to figure it out: During my stay it happened only once, that a bad smell was noticeable in the room after I turned the AC off (smells like sewage) , and I guess it is either from the AC or from the city, but got somehow access to the building. As I turned the AC on again it disappeared.

The location is just perfect. Train station, bus stops and shopping are literally steps away. My room was spotlessly clean. Everything looks new, neat and cozy. Wonderful bathroom. Real pleasure to take a shower. Some hotels have bad showers with a weak water stream, but her you have a fancy one where you can choose between an ordinary shower and a tropical one. Felt like a spa. There is a minibar in the room: a rare thing for Lübeck's hotels. So convenient when you buy your own groceries. The price of my booking was reasonable. The young man who checked me in was really friendly and professional (and had a good sense of humour). He was on duty on Friday the 12.07 at 15:00, so I'm sure his employees know who was at the reception at that time and date and will show him some appreciation. The neighborhood is perfectly safe. Actually, the train station area in Lübeck is far more pleasant than the very centre of the city. Some cities in Germany tend to be less relaxed when it comes to main train stations, but here is a different story.

I arrived early (about 10:45), and when I approached the reception, one of the ladies (a dark-haired woman) wasn't very friendly. I never asked for an early check-in, and only wanted to leave my suitcase and go for a walk in the city until the official check-in time. Yet - this lady sounded irritated. I might be wrong (some people just have a special way to speak, so they sound unfriendly when they absolutely are not. In that case I deeply apologise), but I had a slightly bitter taste when I left the hotel.

The staff were wonderful, especially the young man who greeted us at the front desk. His English was impeccable, and he suggested great places to dine and visit in the Old Town. He also hand delivered extra pillows. Our room was very quiet with curtains that blacked out the light; the hotel is very convenient to the train station but not right next to it. It's an easy walk from the old city.

A little more variety in breakfast. Muesli would have been nice. Otherwise, there really wasn't anything to complain of.

Convenient, clean and comfortable hotel. Good value for money. The center is actually a 7 minute walk away so it is very convenient.

The only inconvenience is the lack of parking. There is one parking lot right in front of the hotel, so this inconvenience is partially offset. Although late at night there are many homeless people or people with suspicious looks near that parking lot, so I would say the lack of private parking at the hotel is the only significant minus.

Convenient location, excellent shower, very good bed.

Breakfast very average compared to the price. Positive to have filter coffee available in addition to those not always so good machine coffees. Cleaning of the room could be better. Floors were quite dirty when we arrived. Wifi quality varied. Also it would be nice to have some instructions in the room how to get streaming on in the TV. It was much more complicated than we normally have found.

It was my second stay at the hotel. It's my favourite in Lübeck (I stayed in 5 different hotels). I just love everything about it (the location, the cleanliness, the size of the room, the amazing bathroom with a tropical shower). It's the only hotel around the train station with a minibar (convenient if you buy groceries).

The location is excellent - very close to Holstentor. The car parking is available under a shopping center on the opposite side of the street and the entrance for cars is just around a corner. The breakfast room is large enough.

For accessing the reception, you have to pass the bar. If there is some sort of a ‘private party’ at the bar, it could be quite difficult to get through the crowd with your luggage. During the breakfast, there were several times when no glasses were available.

The location was good for train and bus arrivals. It was only a ten minute walk to the town centre. The room and bathroom were a good size. The shower was good. Staff were very helpful. I was given a complementary ticket for the bus to Travemunde.

The rooms on the sunny side of the hotel were too hot. The air conditioning was not good enough to cool them even if left on all day. I had to change rooms because of this. A thick winter duvet is not appropriate for a hot late spring day. The breakfast was ok but not worth 18 euros.

I liked everything, good value for the price. My expectations were very low when I booked the room due to the pictures I saw on the net. But in reality the facilities where much cleaner and modern and new than the feeling I got when looking at the pictures in Booking.com. perhaps you need to re take your pictures. The staff where so kind, they listened to me and gave me a room on top floor, according my request.

Great location for the city and the railway station. The room was comfortable and clean and had a great view of the city. The bathroom was excellent and the walk in shower was really nice. A very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff and a great location.

The only thing I would mention would be the mattress topper which moves around too much and makes the bed rather high from the floor to when you are short!
