- the staff was super nice and helpful, you can tell it's dear to them that you're having a good time - localization is good without being perfect, you're still 10min away by foot from the center - the room was comfortable, we could open the windows because it was warm inside (it wasn't specially warm outside, and I didn't see an AC so I'm wondering if in the summer it's not too hot?) - it was clean - free coffee in the lobby and they lent a boiler to make tea in the room

- I'm a light sleeper, and we hear everything from the hallway, so starting 6:30am you can hear people getting out of their room, and getting back after their breakfast. So tough for me to sleep well in the morning. Just for that, I can't recommend this hotel, it's a shame because it's really not up to the owners... Maybe to change the key system of the rooms to avoid hearing every key in the holes? - localization is good but some hotels around the same price range are closer to the center - the bathroom is really small

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel which completely exceeded my expectations. It has a great vibe! The check-in experience was excellent, as I had a snafu with the taxi and they assisted me. The common rooms are so cozy, with games, hot tea, and comfortable seating. The breakfast was fabulous, you can tell that the staff really cares about presenting their guests with quality food in a cozy environment. Everything is so clean and organized. There are little touches everywhere that shows they care. I loved the delicious coffee, breads, fruit and eggs. The room was thoughtfully designed, with chargers where you need them and a comfy bed. The lobby candy bar is so fun. They even have bikes you can borrow. If you can't tell, I loved this place!

Everything was good. The room was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The bathroom has a hairdryer. I recommend their breakfast to everyone. There is a wide selection (scramble, waffles, yogurts, cold cuts of meat and cheese...). Also in the lobby you can make yourself coffee/tea at any time and taste sweet treats.

Just a tip: if you need a fridge, it's a good idea to confirm this with the hotel beforehand.

First, the parking is really good -- separate, covered spots and we did not have to negotiate the narrow ramps we usually find in underground parking. The staff are friendly and professional, and the location is excellent. We were given an upgrade to a larger room, which we really appreciate, it was lovely. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. The always-available coffee set up and comfortable sitting areas are a nice touch.

We loved everything. Gorgeous large and stylish room. Lovely staff. Lots of extras - lounging areas with drinks and snacks available to buy. A candy bar. Lots of books to borrow or read and plenty of local information. Breakfast available and free coffee and tea. A very short and very picturesque walk to the historic old town. The whole hotel has a lovely, welcoming and homely feel - not like a sterile chain hotel. And it was really good value too.

I cannot think of a single thing about this hotel that I did not like.

The staff were friendly and helpful and generous. We had an upgrade which is not always possible but always appreciated, many umbrellas available on loan for rainy days, colorful sweets available and instead of a stupid mini bar, drinks available in an inviting lounge on a trust basis. The owner understands that it is the kind gestures that make one want to return.

On a busy Sunday morning the line up at the coffee machine was long and in our case in front of our table. We would have moved but with such a fine breakfast, all tables were full.

Unlike most hotel rooms we encountered in Europe, this LiHo room had high ceiling and large floor area. The stuff at the hotel treats you as a relative: they help you naturally and instinctively 🙂. Ambience: owners have preserved a genuine 19th century burgeouis home before the elevator. Please spend 5 minutes to inspect how nicely 19th century middle class used to live 🙂 Spacy room, as well as shower. Overall feeling of cosiness. Very nice breakfast. Good beds soft enough with many soft pillows. If you are traveling by car, please reserve hotel parking well in advance. There is no street parking available reasonably. Breakfast superb. Hotel parking is underground high-teck: please ask receptionist to help you park underground. Exceptionally joyful value for money.

- Air-conditioning - might be an issue during a heat wave in Summer, but we survived on a fan (supplied by hotel).

Perfect location to walk into central Lübeck from. Really nice hotel with great decor, furniture and facilities. Huge choice available at breakfast. Room was really nice, comfortable and clean. Staff always helpful and friendly.

Parking in the garage is 20 euros per day. The only other option is street parking but there is not much room out there.

A family owned Hotel run by staff who really care. Excellent English. First class location for walking into Lubeck and picking up a map at the Tourist office across the bridge. Despite an overnight visit we managed to see most of it in the evening before dinner. There is a bakery around the corner to supply filled rolls for lunch (and even breakfast but not that day). The hotel breakfast is truly comprehensive and we kept discovering more items tucked away (cooked sausage, bacon and scrambled egg under a cover). We had planned to eat fish and chips outdoors across the road but were too late so settled for the donner place next to the hotel. Parking? Don't rely on street parking. It's worth the parking fee just to enjoy seeing the car disappear into the lift. Drive straight in from the road and unload your luggage in the courtyard. The receptionist clearly relished demonstrating the system while the others had coffee and cake in the lobby. Great honesty bar with books and convivial meeting space for fellow travellers.

The location is great - 5 minutes walk from the Holstentor, 10 minutes walk from the city center. The staff is very friendly! They gave us extra hot chocolate and expresso for free whatever time during the day we wanted to have it. They gave us extra cake for free. And they have a goodies station where you can help your self. It was the best experience out of the last 20 or so hotel experiences we had. We definitely would like to come back to this place.
