What Could Be Improved: The coffee machine in the room was placed where there was no power outlet, and there were no coffee capsules provided, so we couldn’t make coffee in the room.

This hotel is located right on the river in Lübeck, and so many rooms have a view of the river out front. During the day, you can walk in and out from the footpath out front, past people sunning themselves in nice lounge chairs in the restaurant bar. Breakfast was generous and lasted until 11, which was nice after a late night at a wedding. Staff were generous and accommodating.

I am not a fan of shag carpeting in hotel rooms--just never feels quite safe to walk on, even though they did give us slippers for that purpose. The rooms felt slightly dated as a result. But the bed was incredibly comfy and everything else was very nice.

Perfect location, very convinient and cheap public parking right by the hotel, perfect breakfast, very pleasent lobby, restaurant and common spaces, we have travelled with a dog and she was welcomed with a little dog treat in the room

The room was all good, just might require a bit of refresh vs the common spaces which has been renovated. I would reconsider the „dog stay policy” - it is indeed great that you are allowed with the dog and I do appreciate it brings some risk of damage or dirt in the room (that is why you play for the dog stay), however you’d learn at the hotel room you are not allowed to leave the dog unattended in the room, otherwise you may be asked to leave the hotel. It’s first time we have seen such regulation - practically it would not allow you to enjoy your breakfast, for which you have already paid.

The location is hard to beat: close to the city center, albeit easily accessible by car, with plenty of parking space just in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is modern and the rooms are well equipped, although a bit small. I guess this has to be expected for a hotel of this size. Our room had a view on the river and the city center. Breakfast buffet was great, with lots of choice and high quality.

This hotel is vey large, so depending where your room is, you may need to walk quite a bit to get there. I requested twin beds when I made the reservation but in the end we got one large bed. We only noticed it when we reached the room, but we did not ask for a different because we were afraid that we would not get the same (nice) view. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning here since it concerns Booking.com.

Appreciated the update in the reception/ lounge/ bar area. Much more cosy. Particularly loved the breakfast and the variety of high standard produce. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I feel the hotel is more ‘useable’ all day and evening which is so helpful when away from home.

Perhaps not being asked to move from seats when conference delegates came out onto the terrace. This was not too much of an inconvenience though.

Spacious room with air conditioning and a view of the yard and pat of Lübeck. Very good breakfast with many dishes to choose from.

Difficult to find parking! Outside, there are a limited number of public places to fight over with other visitors to Lübeck. As an alternative, the hotel has a garage for which they charge €20 per day. Outside, the cost is significantly lower and free of charge after 18:00. The staff at the reception was not as service minded as one could wish.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the view from the room was amazing! The room was not very big but comfortable size. It even had a sofa and a chair. The bed was comfortable. The parking outside is quite reasonably priced and very big.

The bar downstairs seems to be running outside its licence hours. Even though online it says it's open till 11pm, the people are still outside at the tables after midnight, still being served past 00:30. They are actually allowed to stay out there till about 1-2pm!!! The outside tables are right under the rooms facing the old town so it's very noisy if you happen to stay there. When we called the concierge he pretended not to realise how noisy the bar customers were even though they were even noisier inside the atrium. It's unacceptable for a hotel bar to stay open that long and not care about the people staying in the hotel.

Very nice location, room was also very nice.

Hotel restaurant could not accommodate meal at 815pm even though we were there having drinks since earlier. I spend a good ten minutes watching two of the staff workers behind the bar ignoring me and another customer without acknowledging us or telling us they would be with us soon. When the waiter finally walked over he stated they were overwhelmed and could not accommodate dinner.

The location is top-notch, just a short walk to the city centre, right next to the River Trave. The breakfast is good and there are different sections of the dining room where people can eat. Outside is part of the dining room when it is warm enough. This is a very good hotel and will stay again when the time comes.

I didn't like how I only spent one night. You see, I live in Brussels, almost 700 km away from this hotel. I stayed here for sleepover when coming from Finland off the ship sailing from Helsinki, Finland to Travemunde, Germany. The ship docked at 21:45 in Travemunde and it would be too risky to start driving to Brussel that late hence driving the short distance to Lubeck to sleep and then start driving the next morning.

Perfect location. By the Trave River, close to city centet. Excellent breakfast.

The towels smelled. The mattress sagged and the pillows were a tad uncomfortable. The bathroom also had this tiny glass that really wasn’t enough to keep water from spilling out.
