- great location: the best possible in Meersburg (which is a wonderful town by the way) - very good breakfast, and if you are lucky with good weather, it can be taken on the restaurant terrace on the lakeside (superb place) - clean room and bathroom (and even though we had the lowest level of rooms, they had acceptable sizes and amenities) - the girl at the reception the day we checked in was quite friendly; even if she didn't manage to change our room to a higher floor, she gave the feeling that she was trying

- our room, even though it is considered to be on the first floor, given the slope of the street, is practically on the ground floor, facing the sidewalk that connects to the city parking lot and the ferry; we had to stay permanently with the curtains drawn and the window at most tilted (under no circumstances open); but we have to be fair: we had the cheapest room (there are probably better located rooms in this category too if you're lucky) - the lack of air conditioning could be a problem on hot days (fortunately we didn't experience any)

My family and I were staying at the hotel for several days, and it has been simply incredible. The rooms were beautiful, convenient and clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating all our requests with a warm smile. Breakfast is no less than perfect, with a huge variety of options. And, when something was missing they improved immediately. In terms of location, it is ideal. We all had a wonderful time there.

The only thing we were missing were options for warm drinks in the rooms. We were expecting a standard coffee machine or kettle, but unfortunately that could not be provided.

Located at the edge of the historic city, it was an ideal place to stay with public parking garages only a few blocks away. We were able to drive up to the hotel to check-in and drop off our bags, then park the car to nearby. It has a nice view of the lake and the room we stayed was clean and comfortable. The historic town and castle are just outside for you to explore and enjoy. The breakfast was also very good with lots of seating. Overall a good choice in this scenic town.

We booked a room with A/C because we thought it might get warm (especially if you want to keep the windows open at night when there might be people dining or walking by outside). However on arrival they gave us the keys to a room without A/C. After bringing this to our attention we were fortunately changed to an even better A/C room, though I have no idea why the mix-up. I don't think all rooms have A/C so best to inquire to be sure what you booked. Note the parking is extra as well as the pricey city-tax per person per night.

Great traditionally German hotel, great location on the lake shore, impecably clean, room big enough and air contioning very efficient. Restaurant very good, open air panorama is impressive.

Breakfast is very good, yet many peple use the restaurant from nearby hotels, so morning breakfast can be crowded at some hours ...

The property is in a beautiful location and the restaurant where breakfast is served is the prettiest!

The rooms don’t have proper ventilation and in summers it can be very hot to even sleep. When we opened the window we had so many bugs and insects inside so we had to eventually shut it and sleep in very hot conditions

Rooms with lake view are modern, quiet, spacious to very spacious and equipped with air conditioning and minibar. Very good beds. Huge breakfast buffet is available. Friendly staff willing to accommodate the customer.

Mountain view rooms are smaller and not modern (except fot the bathroom and beds) and do not have air conditioning. Sleeping with the window open to cool down the room is not possible as heavy traffic to the ferry to Constance starting at 5:30 will wake you up.

Excellent location. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It would be good if the hotel had a quiet sitting room where guests can enjoy reading or a quiet conversation. Especially when the weather is not so good. booking.com should make it clear that the hotel does not have free parking.

Restaurant was amazing as was the location. Air conditioning was so nice to have as it was pretty hot! Staff spoke some English for us which was so helpful.

If I had to put something negative, I would say that having to go pick up mini-bar contents from the front desk was kind of awkward. Our refrigerator was not even cold when we arrived, even if we wanted to fill it.

No possibility to make tea/coffee in the room (it was a very cold and rainy day when we stayed). I recommend the hotel to have few nonbroken umbrellas to give to people staying in the hotel (I happen to need one and got the only broken one available to customers)

great location, clean, good internet, good breakfast. lady at the reception was very nice.

i guess we lucked out on the location of the room. Got sidewalk side, windows opened in room, not frosted and we could see pedestrians walking by, they could look in room if they peaked at the window. asked for upgrade and price was astronomical for one night. They only had upper floor lake side. we are not sure if our room is a room reserved for booking.com…also no AC so be aware as we could not keep windows closed to get some freshness.
