comfy bed, great view, and nice staff. The staff who were working during breakfast time even automatically reserved a big table for our family.

It seems that they dont have enough staff. So when we checked in, it's someone from another part of the hotel to do this for us, and he was a bit confused. Furthermore, there was only one staff member to do everything during breakfast time, so some plates were empty and couldn't be refilled soon.

The location was great, espacially the view to the castle and the river. The room was also nice and made in a retro style, with a lot of wood, which is great. The breakfast was not perfect, but still a very decent one.

There is no public transport in the weekends. Actually DB does show there is one, but its a so-called RUF Bus, so you should order it at least an hour before, which is awkward The pillows were really not confortable, but in the end was not too awful. Fine for 1-2 nights.

I've been fortunate enough to spend the last 2 weeks travelling through Germany, starting in the north west and heading east. The best hotel, by far (Quedlinburg was good too) is this one. Stunning location on the banks of the river, the property is beautifully maintained and is quietly stylish without being over the top. I probably got a particularly good deal by booking early, but for £47 (c€55), I got a great room, perfect bed, and the breakfast was delicious. Top class stay!

Lovely hotel, big room with a balcony, nice friendly staff. The food in the evening was excellent, as was breakfast. Close enough to walk into town.

Air con would have been nice, but with the balcony doors it was manageable

Nice location by the river Elbe, 15-20 minutes walk from the Albrechtsburg castle. Cozy beergarden on the riverside. Clean, comfortable rooms with river view.

Breakfast could be a little better.

We had a lovely meal outside by The Elbe. It was a traditional style hotel.

The soap in the bathroom was like detergent and I would have expected shampoo and something better.

Ability to make coffee in room. Parking was an issue. Unable to find parking in lots one afternoon. Had to park down the road.

Wonderful find in all ways. Relaxing night in very comfortable room overlooking river. Take time for drink on terrace to enjoy view before very good dinner looking out onto castle at night. Staff were lovely and sympathetic to English speakers. All in highly recommended

Very nice localation with a great view of the old town of Meissen. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant offers a good selection of good quality food. Definitely recommended!

A pleasant short walk along the river into Meissen. our room was comfortable and a reasonable size. the staff were helpful and friendly and were kind enough to speak English. The breakfast was very good and the rest served very tasty food.
