Staying at the ‘Alte Post’ is a travel back in time but in an absolutely pleasant way. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive! We only stayed for one night on our way back to home but had a great night sleep and an amazing breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. Big plus was for us that the hotel is pet friendly! We had a very nice stay! Thank you!

Only one thing: the room was very warm at the beginning as it was a very warm day and we didn’t have air conditioning.

This hotel is simply wonderful. It is easy to find from the autobahn and upon arrival you are welcomed with a glass of local wine. The building is beautifully and tastefully restored. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast selection has something for all tastes and the hotel’s bio ethos means that everything on offer is of the highest quality. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

The only thing I would like is a non-slip mat in the shower.

11pm late check in was very smooth. Hotel was beautiful, staff friendly, breakfast wasn't excessive but perfect.

It’s typical in Germany, but we arrived to a room that was 30+ degrees celcius, with a family of three including a one year old. There was no wind outside, and due to a late arrival no-one at the check-in desk to ask for a fan. If would be great, that going forward, rooms come with one or more portable fans when its been exessively hot.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, super nice breakfast, interesting history of the building, and nice dinner too.

We traveled by electric car and charged the battery at the charging station provided on the hotel parking. We used our swisscharge.ch card (via TCS e-charge) to activate the charging process. Charging was over night and we were unpleasantly surprised that we were charged about €60 for having the car connected to the charging cable over night. This has nothing to do with the hotel, they didn't even know about that, but is charged by one of the companies involved in the roaming access. So if you charge your BEV there via roaming: get up in the middle of the night when the battery is full and unplug the cable, because otherwise it gets bloody expensive!

The breakfast was really good - it contained everything ein gutes deutsches Frühstück should, and in addition, the food was noticeably bio-sourced and excellently fresh. The location of Alte Post is a bit surprising : one might think from the pictures that it was in the middle of the countryside, but in reality it is in town, near a big shopping complex (Media Markt), and at the side of a busy road. However, there is a large garden and my room overlooked this and was beautifully quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everyone liked my dog (who was allowed into the restaurant and breakfast room). Supper was superb - beautifully presented, made with interesting ingredients and very, very tasty. BRAVO!

Location was not far from the highway on our way to Italy. Very clean and spacious rooms (we had two next to each other)! Friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent - great regional specialties, wine, good children's menu and the team was helpful. Breakfast was diverse and very good! We will be back on our next trip to the south.

If considering upgrades in the future perhaps airco. Not a must but if it was a bit hotter then airco would have been nice. Although this does not overshadow the rest of our one night stay which was a great start to our summer holiday!

The location of the hotel is ideal for a stopover. The garden is magnificent, it is lovely to have dinner there. The bedrooms are spacious and clean.

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting but it is overpriced and the quality is poor. Many members of the staff speak no English, which I believe is not acceptable in a hotel if that staff member works directly with the costumers.

Very nice and clean room. Staff was friendly and helpful. We also liked that there was enough parking space and the ability to charge our EV. We will definitely stay here next time we are on passthrough to Italy.

- The restaurant can be a bit noisy in the summer because the terrace is outside and you have a room facing the terrace but after 22:00 it slowly becomes more quiet. - it was very hot weather during that period and although we knew it wasn’t there, we did miss an airco in hindsight.

The "feel like home" experience and the highly attentive staff makes you feel very welcome. Room and breakfast above expectations. Parking jsut outside the entrance of the hotel.

Nothing really. If anything I would say the extra price for our dog of €15 per day is in the high end

Staff and overall accommodations, it was winter so we couldn’t enjoy the garden but it looked great. The breakfast was also really nice.

It was all great. I would just added proper shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Nothing major.
