Absolutely lovely stopover hotel; we stayed here on our travels down to Italy. We had a room with the balcony overlooking the river. Absolute perfect setting for your first coffee in the morning looking at the misty countryside and the sound of the water. We ate in the restaurant, it was good but plain. The breakfast was good and varied and tables were laid out inside and out; we sat outside which was very pleasant overlooking the river. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

No tea/coffee in the room. No lift. Rooms a little dated.

Great location in the middle of nature. Very cosy and spacious room. Run by the nicest people and staff you’ll ever gonna meet. They brought the food to my room and were very accommodating.

The breakfast spread was not really high quality. No ham, just cheap cold cuts. Plus it was disturbed by some local marching band who entirely blocked the breakfast room. I left unfinished and wished they would have taken care of their guest a little bit.

The hospitality was great, considering we arrived late and were still welcomed with a smile. The room is somewhat 'classic' but well maintained and above all, clean. Our surprise was the breakfast which exceeded expectation. A good variety of food and beverages to start the day. Value for money for sure!

The somewhat dates rooms will not be to everyone's taste. For us, it did the trick perfectly.

I liked the location, which is not only beautiful, but also gives an insight into modern German summer habits since there is a makeshift summer camp nearby. I adored a little detail - a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Such details make a difference.

I didn’t like breakfast. It seems like eating habits in Germany didn’t change since 1970s. The property is run by a Greek family. It is advertised as such. I would have been happy with a Greek breakfast - a healthy option. Also I would have loved a touch of family history in the hotel. There is a huge expat Greek community in Germany. Why don’t teach us through photos on the walls or objects from the era about it?

The location is extraordinary. You have a view on the river, mountains are nearby and everything is green. :) we travelled with a dog and it was no problem at all. The staff is great! The hotel has a greek restaurant part and the food was delicious.

The hotel’s interior is a but outdated, but it has the 90’s vibe and charm.

Breakfast selection is very poor. The hotel is old but clean. Room next to kitchen is very noisy during few hours but these are the best hours to spend on a terrace. We asked in advance for any specific activities for birthday but nothing was done

Friendly staff, clean, quiet, comfortable room with a lovely, powerful, hot shower, just what I needed after a day of hiking. There is a supermarket 3 miles away with electric car fast chargers. The location is perfect if you like to get out into nature. Breakfast was good, continental style buffet.

The town is a bit too quiet but Waldbreitbach is not far & has everything you need

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. All questions were solved with helpfull attitude. Even made full breakfast for me, when I had to leave early. Not the lunch box, but full breakfast. Greek accents are also very nice in the hotel.

Because of high mountain the place seem dark in the autumn, but it is still very nice place and the river is just a few meters away.

Excellent value for money. Accommodating and very friendly / helpful staff. Advantageous booking conditions. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Quiet and placed in relaxing nature surroundings.
