The hotel was older property and one that had survived WWII. It was very clean, neat and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was good but the general public facilities were small and there was only a drop box to receive the key and no receptionist. The woman who organized breakfast arranged for a taxi to the rail station. The price was very reasonable and I was very comfortable.

The location is a little "out of the way" in regard to the city center but very close to Zur Kogge, an excellent tavern/restaurant that is recommended for dinner.

Staff was very down to earth, friendly and very nice. Breakfast was nice, and it was lovely that we had a table reserved every morning. Placement of Hotel was excellent.

The soap in the bathroom! It was weirdly blue and smelled of perfume/chemicals, and I would have liked a more neutral one without so many chemicals.

I had a wonderful view of the waterfront and the proximity to the center of the city with its historic buildings was perfect.

No fault of Hotel Altes Hafenhaus...the comfort of the room was fine but not FABULOUS because it was very small which I knew when booking and the man who welcomed me also said it was the smallest room. As I was there basically for a shower and to sleep, it was perfect because I LOVED the view and being in such an old, beautiful property.

Good location down by the docks and convenient to have parking on site. Friendly welcome and comfortable room.

Steep staircase to the second floor - not easy with luggage. 'Altes' means 'no lift'!

The bed linens, although very clean, could use a bit of a refresh since they seemed quite old. Otherwise all good!

A wonderful old house with its own feeling. We had a nice chat with the man in the reception during our breafast (which was very tasty and fresh). After seeing the Marienkirch with it’s astronomical clock we left Rostock with a lovely mind.

The staff were really friendly and helpful . The location was very central and also just across the harbour. The room was lovely with a historic feel of the building's past..it was good value for money including the breakfast. A great base for exploring this interesting town. We loved it.

The main road between the hotel and the harbour was a bit noisy at times when the windows were open. But this was not a huge issue!

Great location, harbor front, close to tram stop. Right near the old town walking plaza. Restaurants across the street.

Excellent location with private parking. Extremely helpful menager. Excellent and varied breakfast.

The third bed in the room had a too soft mattress.

staff were so friendly and a great location, plus they had a honesty bar with was really nice to see.
