A fabulous family run hotel. Like many German Country hotels, it was comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was great. The food was copious and well cooked. Good value for money.

This is more a criticism of Booking.com than the hotel. Booking.com should understand that many people look for a hotel with a restaurant, because they are travelling long distances. Therefore an evening meal after several hundred kilometres of driving is really important. We arrived at this hotel to find the restaurant fully booked. We stamped our petulant, tired little feet, and the lovely staff found us somewhere to be fed. But the need to pre-book dinner, is something that should be flagged in "things you should know". That's on you, Booking.com.

We booked the same day and arrived in the evening. We were able to get a late dinner right before the kitchen closed and the food was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and all four of us got a proper bed, there was also a sofa bed we didn't need. Dogs are allowed in the room and in the outdoor biergarten, and the garden and surroundings were excellent for walking the dog. Everything was very well kept and clean. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, you could even make your own waffels. Free parking and plenty of space. We would love to stay there again.

Lovely older village stay, under modernization. Charming room we got, with nook for kids (216), modernized bathroom. Great restaurant for "modernized traditional cuisine" - lovely soups, schnitzels, fish.

Some parts are under renovation, but it was nothing that disturbed us - no building noises etc. during our stay.

Everyone there was very helpful and good at communicating. I arrived after normal opening hours, but the procedure for getting my key was well described by email, and they even called me beforehand to check.

Be aware that the EV chargers need to be unlocked by reception.

Large and clean rooms. Convenient having a good restaurant at the hotel.

The room was a bit too warm. Given that the restaurant menu was quite balanced and with animal-friendly options, I was surprised that the eggs at breakfast were from a battery farm (code 3).

Dinner was great, better than expected. Beautiful, but quite remote, surroundings. Quaint interior, very clean for the most part.

It’s ok the rooms and decoration are dated, but curtains were way too sheer/light. We also had tons of mosquitoes in our room as well as mosquito corpses & small blood stains on the walls and ceilings. Not very appealing.

Breakfast was a little disappointing in comparison to how good everything else was.

The rooms were modern and spacious, also very accessible for travelling with a dog. The hotel is situated among fields so perfect for a good walk after a long drive. The hotel had an excellent restaurant as well as two e-charging points for Tesla and other electric cars. Lots of parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK with a good variety of cereals, fresh waffles and an array of coffees and teas.

The beds were a bit too hard and the pillows too soft. The wifi was not amazing but workable, apart from that everything was awesome.

Beautiful little town. Cozy hotel and pretty nice staff, but they are not very good in English. Okay restaurant and breakfast.

They didn't give much information when we arived. Bed was a little hard.

We booked a family room and had a large room with a double bed, with a smaller room attached with two single beds for the boys. Our dog was very welcome and we had some lovely walks around with him. The evening meal and breakfast at the hotel were of a very good quality, staff were helpful and welcoming. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. This is somewhere we would definitely return to again.

Unfortunately we stayed here during extremely high heat and the lack of air on made it challenging to sleep.
