Mostly we felt that the staff were friendly and helpful. This was in stark contrast to some of the other 6 other hotels we stayed in during our trip. This makes such a difference when you are in another country. It felt like a family run hotel rather than part of a large chain, though I do not know the details of ownership. Nice garden too. Good food. It was the only hotel we went back to on our return journey through Holland, Germany, Denmark and Norway and back. Also very close to the motorway, but not close enought to hear it!

This hotel is located about 2 km south of Autobahn 1, crossing: Bockel, along the L71. The hotel offers an in-house restaurant with a large menu, and reasonable prices. The food is very good, and the service is attentive and quick. High marks for this! Our room was large and well furnished, including a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and of very good quality.

Friendly staff- good German kitchen - but would like to visit during a period where the serve specials- e.g. asparagus or geese.. very convenient in relation to the highway still without noice. Good parking facilities. Very good breakfast!

Rooms could be upgraded- I do not like carpet on the floor.

Its not a dislike as the information does state there is a function room - it was noticeable not intrusive and stopped at Midnight but there are plenty rooms that will be unaffected so in my mind its not a negative just be aware and it certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying again!

The hotel is a perfect half distance between Denmark and the Netherlands. As is is a Family run hotel, it feels more homely. The staff was friendly and The restaurant food was really good.

The rooms might need a bit of an upgrade in the near future and the curtains didn’t work.

Clean, friendly personnel, attentive, comfortable, quiet, nice breakfast and restaurant. Am definitely going to stay there when we are in the region. Tops everything else we have tried.

No elevator. Building is from the 1600's and they explained that they are trying to find a way. Completely understandable.

Excellent service, good room and really splendid breakfast. Food In the restaurant was good German fare . The only surprising thing was additional small charges on the bill, eg car parking.

Unexpected charges on the bill. Tea and coffee making in the room would have been good.

Very nice, big, and clean room with comfy beds. We had a very late arrival but the kind staff arranged for us to pick up the key outside in a safe space. Breakfast was overall good and a nice variety to choose from. Not a huge buffet but the things that are there seems to be of really good quality.

when we arrived at 08.30 there was not much left on the breakfast buffet since a big group had been there before us and the buffet was not stocked up while we where there. It was not really a problen since our small kids didnt want any of the things that were missing anyways but had they been older, it would have probably been more of a bother. We didnt ask them stock up either so really cannot complain. I am sure the staff would have done ti if we asked. Just a suggestion for future guests.

Lovely grounds, enough space in garden for kids to run around. Good parking facilities. We were in the new building and our room was clean and spacious. Nice smiley staff. We had dinner at the hotel and I have to say food was very good - recommended!

I think breakfast should be ordered and brought to table. It wasn’t busy enough for a buffet and the buffet looked a bit tired.it would save the hotel from wasting food and it would be fresher for the customer.

Conveniently close to the motorway on our journey to Sweden. Dog friendly. Nice beer garden.

Checking in was somewhat difficult in understanding what information was required. Thought I given information through booking.com
