The room was spacious and clean, equipped with first-rate furniture, well-lit, and the bathroom was basically following those standards. The breakfast buffet had very rich offerings and something for every taste, including a generous vegan section at the breakfast bar. The location is clearly a bit off the beaten path but that's why you go there in the first place, but still close enough to Freiburg to enjoy the offerings of a first-rate destination. The staff was very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The SPA is also well-equipped and with a nice view of the surrounding landscape. Electric car charging stations are also available. The surrounding nature invites for hiking, biking, running, and simply for enjoying the quite spectacular scenery. The dinners at the local restaurant were a delight and again, a good portion of the menu was dedicated to vegan offerings. The staff also took the time to explain the peculiarities of the wines from the region.

Wonderful location high up in the Black Forest. this hotel is very comfortable and has excellent facilities. It is a perfect centre for walking in the Black Forest and has lots of atmosphere in the panelled dining room with cuckoo clock and cosy corners. The food is excellent and there is an extensive wine list of local wines.

The wellness facilities are really fantastic. After a long day of walking the 'Westpad', we really enjoyed the sauna

Clean room and everything you need to enjoy the hotel — slippers, bath robes even for kids sizes, and extra towels for the pool and sauna. The pool was super clean and perfect temperature. We went twice a day with great pleasure for all. The breakfast was super and was so filling we were skipping our lunches. Restaurant in the hotel catered well to families. Good family friendly menu, large space for you to feel at home, and fresh German fare for everyone! Staff in front office very very friendly and helped us find a few things to do in the area.

The WiFi was very slow in our room. The sauna options didn’t generate enough heat to really do it right Restaurant service was a little stiff in the evenings and would have been slow if the place wasn’t so comfortable to just sit in. Good WiFi in the restaurant by the way!

Beautiful surrounding with several paths to walk. The staff was nice and competent. The breakfast is great with vegan options. The restaurant has very nice food.

The room was old and not so pleasant. The bed was not very comfortable. The wellness are gets very full and noisy.

Wellness area was lovely. Staff was very friendly. The forest is nearby.

Vegan food is not to be recommended (not nutritious, mostly not tasty). On the pictures, only newly renovated areas are shown. A lot and only religious christian books in the hotel room is unappropriate.
