The hotel was very cozy, located in the countryside at the beginning of the Black Forest with nice views of the surrounding hills. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of local products. The room was very large and confortable.

At the begining we could not enter because the automatic machine was not accepting our code. Luckily we arrived during the day and someone was available to provide us the keys.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere to it. We had an early start the next day and the property setup the breakfast buffet for us and also made fresh scrambled egg omelet to get us started on a busy day with a fantastic breakfast.

Coffee pot in the room but no coffee to make coffee. The balcony had a light on that we could not find the light switch to turn it off.

Great location just above the river and in the beautiful German countryside. We stayed here after the Ravenna Gorge Christmas market. Easy 20 min drive.

Beds could have been a bit better, but overall a great stay in a very traditional and comfortable bed and breakfast.

I liked practically everything. There were few minor issues listed below. But I very recommend this place.

few minor issues: Some stuff members dont speak english. Required Google Translate to communicate. The food variety was exactly the same for 7 days we stayed. Maybe worth to change sosage , cheese , buns and cakes selection every few days. The front door is opened by the room key only. There is only 1 key. When one family member is in the room with the key, another one can't enter the building. The one from the room have to go down to open a front door. Bed matresses are very soft, but I didn't have any back problems after 7 days stay.

The breakfast was perfect, with variaty of foods and beveradges. The room was perfect, clean and with beautiful view, also the temperature was perfect.

Nothing that we could think of

Everything was great! But most of all the friendliness of the owner! We were with two small kids and we felt very welcomed! We will definitely stay again! Moreover, the house is very well located!

The hotel was very nice and cozy, in a beautiful location. We were traveling as a large family with a 2 year old son, parents and grandparents, and stayed at the two bedroom apartment. The venue was beautiful, and the room had a large balcony with gorgeous view. There are also beautiful walking paths around the hotel and a small creak right outside the hotel. We were also surprised to find that there was a very nice playground right outside the hotel, which was a huge bonus with our son! The hotel is close to Freiburg with car, and also to many other beautiful locations in the Black Forest, so it's a great starting point for traveling the area. The staff were very friendly and nice, even when our son was misbehaving a little bit. Would highly recommend for families with young children! The breakfasts were ok, with a decent spread of cereals, bread, jams, cheese and meats, and eggs they prepared on order. It was not the fanciest I have experienced (no other baked goods except breads and buns, for example, which would have been nice), but definitely satisfactory, and the view from the dining area is beautiful.

The only main downside we felt was that the apartment was on the second floor with no elevator, and the stairs didn't feel like the safest for a toddler and two older grandparents. We left our stroller in the car downstairs, but it wouldn't have been (easily) possible to bring it up to the room if we wanted to. The bathroom in the apartment was clean, but small.

The breakfast buffet had many choices and made for a great start. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is farther from the road which made for peace and quiet at night. The beds were comfortable and the rooms and restaurant were clean and comfortable. Hiking and biking trails are right outside the door and Freiburg is close for shopping and exploring.

The wifi didn‘t function in our room, only in the hotel lobby and restaurant.

The location is just lovely, in the black forest. The breakfast was really rich, with a great variety of tasty food. The room was very big, and quiet, clearly well maintained. The staff was very friendly and did some untrivial things in order to make our stay (and leave) more comfortable.

The English could be better. But it is common in Germany and all in all we managed to understand each other.

Lovely property with lots of attractions nearby. Great breakfast and dinner. Staff attentive and friendly. Travelled with two children who enjoyed the outdoor play area and serve yourself ice cream machine!
