*A paid laundry service would be great considering there is no laundromat in town *Those with mobility issues would probably have a hard time walking to and from the train station if they miss the hourly bus. Better come with a car if you have trouble with walking *If I would nitpick more, it would be better if there is an electric plug beside the bed for charging phones

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was exceptional—kind, welcoming, and helpful across the board, from reception to kitchen and cleaning. I also appreciated the flexibility they offered, especially with check-in, which was seamless and stress-free thanks to their smart system. It’s rare to find a hotel as pet-friendly as this one, and our dog was treated warmly by everyone. The room was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly heated, and having 24-hour snacks and drinks available in the lobby was a lovely touch—it made for great evenings with friends. The hotel staff also helped arrange a taxi quickly, which was much appreciated.

The only thing I’d suggest is accepting American Express cards. I often use it for travel expenses, like hotels and flights, due to its points system, and it would be great to have that option in the future. Still, this is a minor issue, and I’d happily stay here again.

Large ground floor room, very clean and modern. Big shower, had a good seating area and I didn't have the biggest room either. Close to town without being busy - quiet on a night. 10 or 12 minute walk to the train station and only 12 minutes into Freiburg and that's free if you ask the hotel for the pass. All staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast is plentiful with a lot of choice (bacon and eggs were super). All our group said they liked the place and would want to return.

Bed was not very comfortable for me but there was nothing wrong with the actual bed - just personal preference. Only rating this 9 because 10 would be perfection and there's no 9.5.

Room was in the converted barn, the more recently constructed part of the hotel. Room 200. Beautiful suite with the original exposed stonework and the original barn door separating the sleeping area from the seated area. There's a small outdoor terrace as well. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom spotless. Very nice selection of food for breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and could not have been more helpful. The location of the hotel is very good - 10 minutes walk from Kirchzarten railway station. There's a bus stop outside as well. The Konas Card (free travel in the Black forest) is also available at the hotel. We used it extensively during our 5 day visit. The area the hotel is situated is lovely and quite.

The room was great, and included a separate sitting room plus a small outdoor garden space with a table and chairs, making it feel more like a small apartment. Beautifully clean, with unusual interior decor and all the facilities we needed. The hotel was easy to find and located in a lovely small town with plenty of places to eat etc.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like about the hotel it completely satisfied our needs, in fact went beyond.

Hotel is very clean, in a quiet area, free parking available and beautifully renovated with a/cs in the bedroom. Breakfast is very good with a wide variety of items (cereal/fruit/ bacon/eggs/bread etc). Location of Kirchzarten is good with a small square and a few restaurants and we could easily drive to the black forest attractions. Whilst at the hotel we had a medical issue and the manager was really helpful and efficient and tried his best to help us out. We have really appreciated this and we could enjoy the rest of the holiday!

Coffee facilities at the evening or a kettle in the room ( however we did not ask for this, so it may be available).

Quiet hotel just off the main street.very nicely renovated.everything was clean and tidy.Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Because you are not in one of the main towns you are provided with a konas card that gives you free travel on the train and bus.

Nothing really.it was quite at night after our sightseeing days out in the black forest.

The breakfast was abundant and good. the room itself was good size and the bathroom was nice. It had everything we needed. We needed a fridge for the baby's milk and they were ok in keeping it on their freezer.

AC would be amazing, it was really hot on the days we were there. but it was OK without it.

We loved the style of the hotel and the rooms. We had a beautiful room with an extra sitting area which was more of a junior suite. Staff was great and ready to help us with some extra requests. Breakfast good and the location was very quite, with free parking and walking distance from the train station - we were also given free train cards!

Just a bit of odour from bathroom pipes, but nothing as bad as to spoiling out stay.

It’s modern, bright quiet and well located. The breakfasts are excellent, everything you could want, and bedrooms are very comfortable. Plus the booking comes with free rail ticket for the region. We used it a lot
