Basic 2 star hotel clean and comfortable in the centre of the Plaka with great view of the acropolis . The room I had have a fridge air-conditioning and balcony with a great view of the acropolis. The soundproofing to the busy street outside was excellent. Within walking distance of a number of places to visit. Very close to Acropolis Metro Station making it easy to come from the airport.

I have been to this hotel twice before and therefore I knew what to expect. For others the bathroom size might be an issue as it is small and has a fold out shower. It is however easy to master .

The location is PERFECT! Plaka, the historical center of Athens, just below(!) the Acropolis, most of the historical sites close. Next to the underground station "Acropolis", the central square Syntagma 7 minute walking distance. The breakfast served at the hotel terrace with a view of the Acropolis, the Lycabettus hill - MAGIC!! Hot water in the bathroom!! GREAT! It is not always in every hotel. really hot water, we APPRECIATED it(!), as it was cold outside the days we were staying. 24-hour reception!

The room should have some glasses. At least plastic. One might want to bring something to drink. We asked for glasses, were given 2 plastic ones. An electric kettle in the room would also be nice - one needs to make a cup of tea before going to sleep for instance. Or just something warm, hot any time. The underground goes under the hotel - nothing uncomfortable, but you might feel it. I would have expected (and appreciated) breakfast to be included in the price + (paying extra for breakfast) I would have apprecited variety of cheese and salami/ham, not just 1 kind. No complain, just comparison to breakfast I ate in other hotels of similar kind.

Hotel is located right at the plaka with amazing view directly to the acropolis. Room is very basic and it’s a great place for exploring the town or for a short stay. Beds were comfortable and shower had hot water. Good value for your money

Shower drain can’t catch up with the water flow so the whole place gets flooded once you take a shower. We booked a room for 4 adults and only had sheets for 3 and towels for 2 adults. We arrived very late so it was inconvenient to go to the lobby to start hunting the sheets and towels. Phone in the room was not working so we couldn’t call for assistance.

The location was very handy, it was clean and they responded quickly to our queries. We arrived late in the night (close to midnight) and there was no issue with the check in.

No signal for the WiFi. When we told the receptionist (one guy having a night shift if I remember correctly), he acted like we distracted him from what he way doing and he acted like we don't know to which network to connect. Needless to say that we did connect indeed to the one he suggested but on the 1st floor the signal was barely there, so we used our own mobile network. And the housekeepers were talking out loud in the morning like there was no one there sleeping inside the rooms.

Staff were really helpful, room was clean & comfortable. Great location!

The location was perfect - steps from the Acropoli Metro Station and in the top of the Plaka. In spite of this, it was super quiet! Also, we liked that it was a renovated older hotel, so it didn’t have that sterile feeling that some newer ones have. And of course the view from the rooftop breakfast room/cocktail bar was unbeatable.

Sometimes staff were not as helpful as they could be, such as the man who told us there were no drop-off laundries in the area - we found one on our own, and the woman who told us that no hotels make clothes drying racks available to customers, when two of the ones we stayed in recently had. Also, this may sound a bit finicky, but there was too much furniture in the room - there really wasn’t enough room to comfortably move between three beds - we only needed one.

Always stay here on my visits to Athens before Xmas. The third year coming here. I chose the hotel because of the location. It is so close to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museam. Also the view from the rooftop restaurant.

I chose the basic double room with a bathroom. Which is just that, but as I am not in it, much doesn't bother me. It probably does need a spruce up and is dated. It's also fairly compact with no views at all. So, it can seem a bit dark. It does the job for me as a solo traveller. If you are a couple, I would recommend paying extra for a balcony/view double.

Great location - half block from Acropolis metro station, Acropolis Museum, entrance to Acropolis, wide pedestrian street around bottom of Acropolis, and a block-long street full of restaurants and pastry/coffee cafes across from metro station, and on a narrow old street in Plaka with many lovely shops. Very quiet. Very nice rooftop restaurant/cafe, with incredible view. Friendly staff. Very clean. Nice sheets, towels. Great price. Very comfortable bed. AC. Elevator.

No coffee maker, hot water kettle in room. Shower water flows onto bathroom floor into a drain (typical for older European hotels). Street too full of people at my 3 pm arrival for taxi to drive to hotel door, left me half block up the street.

We stayed there for one night only as we had our flight next day. As the picture says, nothing can beat the location. If you want just a place to sleep while touring the whole day, go for it. Near the entry gate of acropolis, you get lot of food options on multiple restaurants. This hotel even has a rooftop with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. We took the breakfast there- 10 EUR each person. It was a standard continental breakfast. We reached early, the owner lady was extremely humble to offer the room 2:30 hours before the scheduled check in time. Much appreciated.

We didn’t know that it was an underground room though one side was having some open area. The bathroom was 3 steps up within a room making it uncomfortable. We wanted an extra pillow to the person sitting in the reception at night. The person didn’t bother and told us to check tomorrow morning when we had to leave the next day.

The family who own this hotel are the best. They make your stay easy and comfortable and no question/help required is denied. They ensured that we had the best time. They were also very attentive -we had a power cut and they were on hand to make sure we were all comfortable and informed as to what was happening.

This is not a complaint as we loved the location particularly my 19 year old son. The only thing that may impact is a disco up the road starts in mid July and can be noisy when people are leaving - in fairness I am a very light sleeper. Great little pool to cool down at end of a day walking/beaching.
