The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring the ancient sites. All close by and accessible on foot. I never needed any bus or taxi. The view from my balcony was amazing, gazing upon the southern side of the Acropolis. The hotel is very clean and the facilities are great. There is a rooftop terrace also, with tables and seating, along with panoramic views all around. Breathtaking!
The only minus, and it's not really a minus, is the nature of the busy location means there is a lot going on in the morning. Deliveries and bin wagons etc, which makes it noisy sometimes. Personally, I like the sound of a busy city, so it didn't bother me.

Amazing location central to everything, 2 mins walk to acropolis entrance/acropolis museum, 5 mins walk to temple of zeus/national gardens, 10 mins walk to panathenaeic stadium, amazing restaurants couple mins walk in plaka neighbourhood (scholario is our favourite) 10 mins to monastiraki and the city centre. So glad we decided to stay here and would recommend to anyone
Did get quite noisy in the morning, doors are quite thin. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper

The hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring Athens. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The room had air conditioning which was very effective and also had a quiet setting, meaning it wasn't disturbing over night. I was initially apprehensive about having to leave my key at the front desk each time I went out, but the key ring is so bulky I'm glad to have not carried it around. Staff were always polite, and the roof top view was lovely.
As some other reviews have mentioned, sound proofing is an issue. Realistically the onus lies with other guests to try to be quiet. I really didn't appreciate the 4am wake up calls when they checked out early. As other reviews have mentioned, shower was quite small, with a shower curtain that sticks to you. I remedied this somewhat by only closing half of it. It is a small space, so not entirely sure there is another option for them.

Location is excellent! The hotel is right next to the Placa District, which is where the majority of souvenir shopping can be done. It was very close to both the Acropolis tour and many other tours for example, the walking food tour that we booked through get your guide. It is nice to have 24 hour concierge staff as well. Taxis cannot really get directly to the hotel, there is a major street only block away, which is very easy to get a cab. The view from the rooftop was nice and you can’t eat breakfast there although I would recommend going to a different restaurant.
The hotel charges for breakfast. It is seven euros, which is not unreasonable although the breakfast was rather mediocre and I would’ve preferred to either. Just get a cup of coffee somewhere or gone for a different restaurant, which is the location in the city. The furnishings were rather dated and we found one of the electrical outlets did not work. The major complaint I have is that the bed was extraordinarily uncomfortable and caused me to have significant back pain (I will note that this is not normally a problem I have).

View from my balcony and room was amazing. Location is perfect in the town of Plaka. Staff so friendly and remembered my room number every day. Room was clean and bed was so comfy. Would recommend and stay again.
It was noisy at night as they do the rubbish bins and recycling at 12am! You can hear a lot. Door to balcony jammed and window was hard to open. Power went out on x2 occasions (one to just my room and the next day it was the whole hotel and other hotels in the area - so nothing the hotel could have done). When it went out in my room, they fixed it immediately.

Location is perfect if visiting Athens. We could see the Acropolis from our terrace and less than 10min walk to it's southern entrance. We had a standard double room which was on the smallish side but perfectly adequate if travelling light (we just had cabin size luggage). Bed was comfortable and the apartment clean and ensuite was functional. Syntagma Metro station is a 10min walk away and from there you have direct access to Athens Airport. Plenty of really nice cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were great both friendly and helpful. Room facilties on the light side but in terms of location and value for money it is top notch!
There was no tea or coffee making facility but in fairness reflected in the price.

Perfect Location & Great Value for Money We had a fantastic stay at the Phaedra Hotel in Athens! The location couldn’t be better—right next to the Acropolis and nestled in the beautiful winding streets filled with shops, bars, and restaurants. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel is just far enough away from the bars to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. It’s also ideally situated for sightseeing, with the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop just a short walk away, making it easy to explore both the city and the beach routes. The hotel itself is simple but does the job perfectly. It’s clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money. What really stood out, though, was the staff—so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be returning to Athens, and when we do, Phaedra Hotel will be our go-to place to stay! Highly recommended.
Struggling for a negative but there a no tea & coffee facilities in the room and the walls are thin but I'm being picky.

Location
Bedroom was extra small but we didn’t spend much time there so didn’t really matter. Maybe an upgrade bedroom to look more polished. We just had a sheet over. Maybe a light pretty blanket would look more modern. A old painting from the market against a wall to make it look more homey..small, affordable changes can definitely ‘up’ the hotel. Maybe consider a day shower for guests checking out late. ( like they have in airport lounges) Charge a small amount to use facilities when picking up bags to shower before heading to the airport for an international flight. Just an idea…..

Location is perfect - right in the pretty neighbourhood of Plaka, close to many restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to Acropolis. Area felt very safe, great for a solo traveller. Bed was large and comfortable, room had sufficient space to place luggage etc. Bathroom was good - not the most modern however that is expected in many properties in an European old town so not faulting the hotel for this. Staff were friendly and polite and 24 hour reception provides extra security - great for a solo traveller and would definitely stay here again.

staff were lovely and the rooftop is beautiful. so close to attractions and plenty of food options, never had to walk too far. close to metro & touristy shops too! it was perfect for a short term stay and i would definitely stay here again.
keys are super big and heavy, so when you enter your room, the keys knock heavily against the door. i was woken up SO many times through the night to people carelessly letting their heavy keys bang against the doors. i understand it’s probably so people don’t take the keys with them but hearing loud banging in the halls through the night is a bit scary when you don’t realise what it is at first!
