Plaka Arch Suites was exactly what we needed for the 48 hours we were in Athens. Keep in mind, Athens is MASSIVE, approximately 6 million people in population. There’s no point looking for a cheap property outside of the Plaka if it’s on your agenda to see the acropolis. You are surrounded with endless cafes, desert shops, and restaurants. From fast food to fine dining… it’s endless in options! Our room was quite large, as well as the bathroom… as advertised, all the helpful day to day amenities. The balcony was a super cute added touch. The breakfast had many things to choose from, a great start for your day that you could even skip lunch from the good breakfast provided. Fanis is very helpful who helped arrange the airport taxi round trip! He also checked in on us every time he saw us… providing new history and a story about the building, and recommendations in the area. Thank you team at Plaka Arch Suites!!

Feedback… I don’t travel light, so I like when a room has many storage options. Just a suggestion to the property to use the extra empty space in the room to include a small sofa and another vanity with drawers. We booked with Booking.com and fit this property, Booking.com displayed all the room pictures of all the rooms at the property in each room selection. So it was not easy to distinguish which room you are getting. It was assumed the rooftop terrace and hot tub was a shared space in the roof. Turned out it is a private suite, which we wish we knew because we would have tried to book that for our dates.

Very well located in the heart of Plaka, this hotel had an excellent room, housekeeping very attentive, very quiet and peaceful, excellent for holidays with family. Thanos, the owner, is very dependable for every need, he works with his family in the hotel and the gelato shop next door (excellent gelato, as well). I'd stay again whenever I'm back in Athens.

Narrow alley, difficult for larger vehicles to get to the property. Since we hired a van service, this was a little uncomfortable since we had to meet in the main road close by. It's was close, but with luggage it can be a challenge. Thanos family helped us, though.

My mom and I stayed at Plaka Arch Suites and had a wonderful experience. She has low mobility, so it was great that the property had a small elevator and that everything we needed — restaurants, shops, and the Acropolis — was within walking distance. The apartment felt like a mix between a boutique hotel and an Airbnb: we had privacy and independence, but also daily cleaning and great service. The room was spacious, very clean, and full of thoughtful extras like a hygiene kit (lifesaver for me!), slippers, robes, and a lovely welcome bottle of wine. It was very comfortable and felt easy, even in a busy part of the city.

Nothing major. Everything we needed was covered. The breakfast could be improved a little — it was good, just not exceptional. But that’s a small thing compared to how smooth and pleasant the whole stay was.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was a lovely size with a big comfortable bed; we had a coffee machine and kettle. There was a well stocked mini fridge and welcome bottle of wine. The walk-in shower was huge and there was no shortage of hot water. We had a balcony and in warmer weather we would have made more use of it. Breakfast was buffet style with an additional menu of cooked options. The buffet had a good range including tea, coffee, juice, cereals, breads, sweet and savoury pastries, cooked meats and cheese, fresh fruit and yoghurt. The cooked options were made to order. We were spoiled for choice. the location was superb; it was only a 4 minute walk to the entrance to the Acropolis and we were in an older neighbourhood that was great for bars, shops and restaurants. We got the metro from the airport which was only about 15 minute walk away. I would definitely book here again.

The dining area was in a covered outside space; lovely in the warmer weather but a little chilly in February. There were patio heaters and as long as we remembered our coats it was ok.

When we got there we were greeted by one of the managers/ owners. He was extremely polite and helpful and began by showing us a map of the area circling the main tourist attractions and telling us the best way to get there. There isn't a reception desk but the staff are contactable via a number when needed. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfy. We didn't realise not every room has access to the rooftop, but requested to move for our last night to the room with access which they accommodated for us. The rooftop spa with views of the Parthenon was beautiful. The breakfast had many options as well as a cook who will make omelettes/ bacon and eggs etc. on request. The breakfast is in a peaceful outdoor area which had heaters, we were there in winter, I imagine in summer it is a nice spot to sit out in too. The location of the hotel was fantastic and we walked nearly everywhere. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We really loved this great boutique hotel. The location is just perfect, the owner is very nice, friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful with a nice balcony. We got a bottle of white wine for a welcome gift, which was very nice and unexpected. The breakfast is good and if you want you can order a la carte eggs or some other warm breakfast options, really nice! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Nothing, the place is just the perfect option for a relaxt city trip in Athens!

the location was perfect with close proximity to the Acropolis & Museum, shops, restaurants, and other important sites we wanted to visit. Loved the breakfast room, it was warm and encouraged conversation with other guests and the breakfast buffet was not lacking anything.

Honestly nothing but I will say, when you arrive it seems like the area could be a bit sketchy. It's NOT! Never felt concerned for safety and was comfortable walking home at night.

Location was 1 minute from hadrians arch in one direction, and 2 minutes from Acropolis museum in the other. Pros: close to everything, and I do mean everything Clean room. No reception desk. You had to punch in a code to enter the building. The breakfast was good, but outside. We went in February, but who in their minds goes in February?

Location was perfect and within 15 minutes walk from most attractions. The area was amazing. The Acropolis was less than five minutes walk. Staff extremely attentive and we were facilitated with an extremely early check in. This made our first day as we had travelled on an overnight flight and meant we could rest before setting out on our first day of sightseeing. Property and room were spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly can’t think of anything apart from maybe having more specific details around checking in as there is no reception desk however we did have a smooth check in. We went to where breakfast is served and rang the service buzzer and a lovely lady appeared to show us to our room.

The buffet style breakfast that offered made-to-order items such as French toast and Greek omelettes was as close to a 5-star hotel breakfast as you can get without table cloths and caviar. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. They are fully invested in their guest’s comfort. The room included bathrobe, slippers, all toiletries, a complimentary bottle of wine, A/C, free bottled water, sleep mask and ear plugs. There is no better location: less than a 10 minute walk to Acropolis, Parliament, Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Zeus, Olympic Stadium, Monastiriki square. Only a 3 min walk to Acropolis Metro station.

There is no lobby per se so staff is not visible when you come and go (but their personal cell phones are listed on the door and you can call anytime). I was happy a staff member was waiting out front upon my arrival and flagged me down, otherwise I may have walked right past the building. The building is a bit dated but all the facilities work well and they have made the most of the space. I never found the roof top area.
