Palladium Home is a small hotel located right in the Plaka, or Old Town.Rooms are small, old but clean. Small bathroom. Walk out the door and have your choice of a number of small restaurants and plenty of tourist-type shops. We loved eating at the Greek Trattoria just outside the door! Try the orange pie! warning: There are about 8 stairs leading up to the first floor, and there is no side railing, so this could present issues for some. If you stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you will need to go up MANY stairs! Also, taxis and cars are not able to drive up to the hotel door, so be prepared to schlep your bags a half-block or so. Despite these issues, we -a 79 year old couple with some mobility issues- still loved staying here! Staff is amazing, free breakfast at the nearby restaurant was terrific, just make sure you get one of the two rooms on the lowest floor if you have any mobility issues or can't do stairs.

The staff were easily the best part of the experience. Kostas was incredibly helpful and an all round great guy who was always friendly and approachable whenever we interacted. He provided us with great food and experience recommendations, as well as helping us out with the area and where to visit. The location was the best you're going to get. In the heart of Plaka, close to all the major landmarks and with plenty of great restaurants and Tavernas nearby. The bed was also probably the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The room was always perfectly cleaned and presented, which is a credit to the staff who do housekeeping.

It was very noisy and I had to purchase earplugs on the second day just to sleep. The noise was all internal too. We had the room next to the kitchen and it was often a lot of noise and disruption. It almost made it feel more like a hostel than hotel at times. The building is quite echoey and we had a lot of doors slamming and other guests sounding very loud in the late night and early morning. The facilities also needed some fixing and improvements, especially given the price. Our shower was broken but we made do.

As a solo traveller, the property was perfect. Set in a pretty square of restaurants, one is spoilt for choice at dinner time, without wandering far on one’s own. Set in a lovely mansion with, I’m guessing, 10ft ceilings and retained period features, the bedroom and shower room were spotlessly clean with calm cool, neutral tones. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve had away from home. Air conditioning was quiet and effective. A safe is provided alongside a fridge containing a large bottle of water. Loved having the use of the tea/coffee making facilities in a room down the corridor. All the tourist attractions are a walkable distance from here, making it an ideal location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pantelis went above and beyond by kindly arranging a theatre booking and organising an early breakfast to enable me to meet for my walking tour - customer service at its best, thank you!

Staff was extraordinary, particlularly the main day desk man, whose name I have forgotten. He was awesome. The location was great and they provided water bottles, and a nice kitchenette down the hall for making tea, coffee etc

A little more updating would add a lot -- it has been nicely refreshed, but it still shows it's age. The bathroom, while modern and spotless, was beyond small. Still, it was fine and a great value.

Cannot beat location. Walk to everything including acropolis. Lovely outdoor restaurants in square right outside front door. Hotel itself was lovely. Not a luxury hotel by any means but comfortable and clean. Small rooms. Stay here for the location. There is a breakfast room with coffee, tea and water open all day but no breakfast is served. As others have said there is no elevator. Staff carried my bag up to room for me. I’m 65. Everyone else lugged their own luggage. I would definitely stay here again

I loved the view from my room and the fact there was a small kitchen where I could help myself to tea, coffee and water. The breakfast is good too if you like eggs on toast with half a croissant.

There was no recycling bin for all the plastic water bottles in the kitchen and there was no option not to have your towel changed if you left it hung up. Not acceptable in this day and age!

This hotel is very well located, and the staff is helpful. On my second stay I went for a larger room with a balcony, which had a great view of the Acropolis. That was worth the extra money.

This is something I have experienced at other hotels in Athens. There are slippers but no bathrobes. These should be available, especially in the more expensive rooms. Since all rooms are equipped with TV, there should also be international channels available, not only Greek ones.

The location is perfect and the price is very affordable, it is easy to reach from metro station on arrival and easy to go to any place from there. The room was cozy and clean, small but very enough for a touristic stay. Perfect view from the window on acropolis.

There was only air conditioning as heating at sometimes it was too dry in the room.

Beautifully fitted room, with a great view. The building itself is very grand and overlooks a bubbling square in Plaka. It’s our second time at Palladian Home as we like the convenience of the location and historical aspect of the hotel, as it feels very old world. Book a room with a balcony and you won’t be disappointed. The staff here are always very helpful.

Our bathroom was very small, and the room would benefit from a tea and coffee station. You can make a coffee in the shared kitchenette but would be nice to have a little setup in the room.

Best location, pretty rooms (albeit basic), very friendly and helpful front desk guys, b-fast in a place across the square which was nice. Sitting with a coffee (shared kitchenet with coffee machine) on the balcony in the AM when the city wakes up ... wonderful.

Center of town (windows I think were partially sound proof) and old building (room door, walls) so not for lite sleepers w/o ear plugs. Maybe an idea for owner to hand these out.
