The hotel is close to both the Acropolis and the Plaka district and in a safe area. l liked that it was on the edge of the Plaka, so it was not smack in the middle of the crazy tourist action and therefore quiet late at night. The staff was lovely and the place is very clean. The rooms have nice, quiet air conditioning. There is 24 hour desk service. A simple breakfast is served every morning in the dining area. Water, soda and beer are available for purchase in the lobby and there is a small grocery store next door if you need anything else.

If you are the kind of person who wants a big spacious room, this isn't the place for you.

The location was great, Plaka is a very beautiful neighbourhood - and we were very close to the main attractions, we mostly walked everywhere! The breakfast was almost the same every morning, but it had plenty of variety and it was quite a lot, so we did not have to worry about lunch until late in the day. The room was nice, clean, the bed was comfy (especially great after a full day of walking around Athens). The best part was that we had an orange tree in bloom at our window - and the smell was amazing!

The lift was a bit small & didn't work every time, but the staff was helpful & fixed it (only used it on arrival & departure anyways).

The breakfast is very generous each morn. It would be super difficult to beat the location. (A hotel 2 blocks further from the Acropolis charges 340 EU for the same accommodations!). The area is completely safe at night with a bunch of dining options within minutes of walking. The staff were a joy and very helpful. We stayed a few nights then went to an island. They allowed us to leave our larger baggage at the hotel free of charge. When we returned, we stayed there a couple more nights. Super clean.

The shower was a little tight, but there was plenty of hot water.

Great value for money! We stayed for three nights and it was truly in the heart of the city. Staff were super nice, and reception open 24/7. Breakfast was included in the stay and did not disappoint. For a relatively cheap hotel in a city-center this is definitely worth it. Would come back for sure

Not much did actually dissapoint, and the hotel was great overall, but we did notice that the A/C was running pretty warm and couldn’t fix it. Not a major problem, but the room in itself was fairly hot during both day and night.

Do not be put off by graffiti on the walls in the street - you'll find that Athens is covered in graffiti (apart from the actual historic sites)

There is a set breakfast - may not suit all but, at these prices, a breakfast out is not a big deal. Rooms & accommodation in line with budget pricing. I'd visit again on a return trip.

My bedroom with the orange tree growing next to my little balcony. Staff very kind, eg for advice and ordering taxis. There’s always someone at the desk. The breakfast was more than ample. An egg, cheese and marmelade etc. also yoghurt and an orange. In stead of only white bread I would have liked some wholewheat bread also. Coffee excellent and staff very kind, esp young woman Sophia.

Perhaps thicker curtain in the breakfast room if sun shines? The shower is unfortunately very small.

Only stayed a couple of times on the way to and from the airport but it was a good choice for a short stay in the center of Athens. Very friendly staff close to Metro stops and easy walking distance to all the downtown sites. It's on a quiet street on the edge of the block of district so there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Decent breakfast served early if you need it. Rooms are a bit dated but perfectly comfortable nice clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Decent value in a good location.

Nothing at all to complain about.

We thought the Nefeli Hotel was excellent value for money. We had considered apartment style accommodation in the Plaka area but I'm glad we opted for a hotel. If you're on a budget but want to stay in the Plaka area then I would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. It felt very safe with someone on reception at all times. There's a supermarket next door but it was shut when we arrived so we were grateful that there was reasonably priced beer and water available to buy in the reception area. Yes the rooms are basic and small but ours was fine for a couple of nights. There's a cute breakfast included too.

The lift is scary. I only went in it once with the luggage.

We enjoyed speaking with the staff, they were all very nice and helpful. They serve you a breakfast and she will bring you a coffee or tea. Didn't have a problem with leaving a key at the front desk, one less thing to worry about. Plus, they were always there when I came back. It was close to everything, 7 minute walk to the Acropolis Southslope Entrance.

The shower is a little small. But, the water pressure was great and we had plenty of hot water.

The hotel is situated in the Plaka district with restaurants and shops just around the corner. Short walk to the metro station, too. The location was fabulous - we could walk everywhere during our stay. The staff also very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was included with our room, which was a nice touch.

The room was nice and fairly spacious - just the bathroom could do with an update (small shower with just a curtain meaning the floor gets wet).
