At the begininng, I was quite reluctant to book this hotel becuase the rating online was low. However, after checking-in, I immediately like the hotel. We have a old-fashioned, high-ceiling room facing ocean. The bed is comfortable, and bathtub is big and clean. We were so worried about parking suitation because Corfu old town was full of tourists, but staff allowed us to park right in front of the hotel. Next to Spianada Park and Old Fortress, the hotel is centrally located, yet is tugged away in a residental corner. It is very quiet in the evening. With its red carpet and traditional style furniture, the hotel may not look modern in the picture, but it is actually well-maintained. For its value, I highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast is limited.

Staff were very friendly and professional and welcoming. Good communication prior to arrival. Breakfast staff very helpful and friendly. Room cleaned and everything replenished including bottled water and fresh towels etc. The building has lots of character although an old building, it has been well maintained. I was especially impressed with the high ceiling bedroom, the old antique style furniture and the breakfast room decor. The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of choice including hot & cold food, cereal, fruit, breads and pastries and cakes, salad, juices, etc. The location was perfect to access the centre ( shops & restaurants & bars and for sightseeing ) , also walking distance for the Tourist Office and the San Rocco Square bus station ( useful for getting around Corfu). The airport is also very close ( approx 15 min away by taxi or by bus from San Rocco Square). The Mediterranean Sea is just a few yards from the front entrance just across the road, the view was amazing especially with sunshine greeting you as soon as you walked out of the hotel ( East facing ). A very comfortable stay. I had a room with a double bed and I slept very well. Overall I had a fantastic stay 😃
Some minor points: Bathroom is quite small. There is a roof garden where breakfast is served ( I had read) but this was closed when I was there in early April. I believe the roof top garden is used for breakfast later in the year. I would recommend this is made available from April since the weather was incredible during my stay ( 16 - 22 C & glorious sunshine)

Wonderful location, nostalgic feel, sensational fortress and sea view from our 4th floor room. Decent breakfast, plenty of choices.
Rooftop bar doesn't open until 6pm and is closed on a Monday and the other hotel bar doesn't open until 6pm either. Day before departure, we enquired about paying to keep our room on due to late flight. The lady on reception told us the hotel was fully booked but said we could keep our room until 1:30pm on departure day. The next day we went out and the lady receptionist had called me which I missed and when we returned at 12pm she called after us saying we should have checked out at 11am. This made us feel uncomfortable especially when she agreed she had told us we could keep the room but 1:30 pm was the latest checkout. Very confusing and embarrassing.

Superb location with a wonderful view from the balcony of our room. Room itself looks a little dated but everything worked well, with the exception of the toilet cistern which needs servicing (hissing all the time so presumably a valve/ seal needs replacing). Plenty of wardrobe space and working safe. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Toilet cistern. Breakfast was reasonable, but breakfast room too small for the number of tables and people. Very little information in the room or online (e.g No menu for rooftop restaurant, no local information or even basic information about breakfast times etc.

I was only there for one night but had a lovely stay! It's only a short car journey from the airport and it's not in the really busy area of the Old Town. The staff were very friendly and the check-in process was so quick that I was taken by surprise! The restaurant on the rooftop gave a lovely view as well. I loved the layout of the room - it was made of two floors which came as a surprise.
I can't think of anything I didn't like! Perhaps the lock system of each room could be a bit more secure... At the moment it's just a shut-the-door auto lock system without an extra lock.

I arrived at the hotel around 8:30 pm from the airport. I took the bus #15, which has a stop at San Rocco Square. From there it is an easy walk to the hotel. Because it was in the evening, I was a bit lost since I didn't have any connection to Google Maps. But that was not a problem at all, just ask the people from the stores and they were very friendly giving me directions to get to Cavalieri. The staff at the hotel were very friendly as well and I would like to give a special note to Nicholas. If you need any tips on what to see or to get around the town, Nicholas is the man to ask. Thank you very much for your outstanding service! Everything was perfect: beautiful historic building, delicious breakfast, very clean, comfortable, good Internet connection and easy walk to go everywhere. I definitely reccomend this hotel while staying in Corfu.
The shower box it is indeed small, but please don't take this information to avoid staying there; after all it is a historical building.

The view is stunning! The location could hardly be better, if one likes a bit of buzzing town life. The atmosphere of the hotel was like in old times - we loved it as we spent a couple of days of our honeymoon here. Our room had a perfect size and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area felt safe and all the town attractions are in walking distance.
The breakfast didn't quite meet our expectation Though there was a big range of food, the quality was mediocre in comparison to where we had stayed before. The roof top restaurant is stunning, but the choice of food was not so good and the prices relatively high.

This hotel was beautifully decorated in a classic English manner by the original owners, a brother and sister. They had style! Thus it is a little dated in terms of colours but as it is immaculately maintained and cleaned it is still in very good nick. The hotel has been made into a Foundation so the proceeds benefit various charities on Corfu. The staff were very helpful. There is a roof top terrace with great views.
A shower over a bathtub is a bit awkward for older patrons. The rooftop terrace was closed on the occasion of our last stay because the tourist season hadn’t started and the weather on some days was inclement. We could have asked for it to be opened.

Location is ideal for easy access into the town especially with a young family. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Even agreed to hold out bags for a few hours two weeks after we'd stayed there as we were flying out of Corfu kate that night. They made it all so easy. Hotel certainly has old world charm which is part of its character.
Breakfast was underwhelming and could be made to look more exciting. Bedrooms are a bit tired looking but that is probably related to its old world charm!

Location & sea view fantastic, staff very friendly & helpful, it was very clean, the shower worked perfectly as well as the free internet. The room was spacy, bed very good, mineral water bottles complimentary & new ones brought without asking. Breakfast buffet excellent. Warmest recommendation- if I come again to Corfu, I’ll certainly choose Hotel Cavalieri again!
The blankets were thin& little shabby. Soundproofing between rooms lacking.
