Great location. Staff nice and very helpful. Quiet once the windows were closed, especially with harbour view (road side with lots of traffic). Spacious room. Nice old building, that appeared fairly well maintained. I expected no elevator, but they had one.

No breakfast, yet a nice dining room. But nice restaurant downstairs, just outside the building. Secondly, I was sick on the last day and unfortunately, they cut the water during the night. I could not flush the toilet until the morning. Finally, the shower did not have a curtain (water spills), which is something I thought would have been easy to install given the design. But on a positive note, nicely renovated bathroom.

The bathroom! Though it looked like it has been recently renovated and nicely done, there were two things very wrong with it. Firstly door opens inwards and as the bathroom is very, very small maneuvering around it when you open it to come out is difficult. I actually cut my foot on the corner of the door trying to get out. Secondly, why have a door that you can see through? Worse the toilet is right in front of the door and no it did not frist over or hide anyones modesty! Sorry, that is really bad!!!!! Ask a member of staff to stand nude in front of it and see what you think then! Bet no one takes you up on the offer!

Don't believe any bad reviews about this historic hotel with an amazing spiral staircase & old fashioned decor. We were fortunate in that we had a balcony at the front with a view. The staff were super friendly & efficient including a free bottle of water on arrival. The room was superb with an ultra modern shower, comfortable bed, air conditioning & a really clean, spacious room.

If I was nitpicking the broadband & tv reception dipped in & out & there were no tea & coffee making facilities.

Minor details but a small bottle of water in fridge when arriving late would have been good or even kettlefor a warm drink especially out of season restaurant underneath the hotel closed early

Old-school charm, friendly staff and a great location, right by the Old Town. The bathrooms have been updated, the aircon's great and some rooms have a balcony. We arrived early, so left our luggage at the hotel while we pottered about the Old Town. Love the old lift and the sweeping circular stars. Easy walking distance to the town port for ferries, etc. The Agora restaurant outside is great for coffee/drinks and people-watching.

Simple, basic but comfortable traditional hotel. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Furnishings rather tired but absolutely fine for an overnight stay. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Opposite taxi rank so easy for airport/ferry. Old town with all shops and tavernas etc 1 minute from hotel. Lovely view over bay. Some noise (as expected) as on sea front but not late into night (and need windows shut anyway re: mosquitos!) Would definitely stay again for one night. Value for money.

The location of the hotel was perfect. You can take a cab from the airport straight to the hotel-it cost 22 Euros. It is no more than 15 minutes away. The hotel entrance is a bit small, but its manageable. The elevator is to the left - I was able to fit a big suitcase, a backpack, and two carry-ons in there, plus 2 people. You go up one floor and check-in. When its time to check out, if you need a place to store your luggage for a bit, they have a room for you to store your luggage- you just place it in a room. The hotel is centrally located so there are many places to walk around and things to eat. Many great restaurants. As for the actual room, I was in Room 409, the door is accessed with a real key, there is a minifridge, there is a closet with hangars and extra pillows, yes there was an air conditioner unit,, the outlets are Italian style outlets, yes there is wi-fi, and there were few toiletries (in case that's something you are into). The shower is neat because you can shower with the overhead, the wand, or the faucet. I had a balcony which faced the main street, it was nice. The location of this hotel is perfect. There is a taxi stand right across the street, which makes things easy. No you can NOT walk to the Corfu port with suitcases ( if you want to catch a ferry to Albania),so its better to take a cab (cost from hotel to ferry port is 10 Euros). I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is simply a design issue.. the shower is a stand up shower but in one end there is no wall...and the drain is just a rectangle on the ground. Because of this, when you shower, the water goes all over the bathroom floor. This is just a design issue, they should simply install another glass panel so that the water can not escape the shower, or maybe a rod and a shower curtain.

All the stuff, even the cleaner, was very helpful and nice. Always willing to help and kind. Also the location is beautiful, and everything is very close. The rooms are very comfy too.

Since it's an older building you can hear whenever someone was walking outside of the room in the hall, maybe because the floor and walls are not made like newer buildings

Catarina gave me all the tips to go around the town and surrounding areas. Thank you! Location was perfect, close to the ferry and cruises port. Walking distance to old town, and easy way to go to the San Rocco Square where you catch the bus to go to the airport. Comfortable bed, luggage storage.

No welcome bottle of water, and none of the soap dispensers were working.
