Well this has been about the third time we have stayed at the Angelos hotel and it never fails to get 100% rating. The room was basic, but met our needs including a wonderful view of the bay. The hotel is quirky to get into but does have a lift, which you access through a shop.The owner, Eleftheria also works in the shop, next door and is marvellous.The rooms are cleaned each day and because I celebrated my 76th birthday, at the hotel I was presented with a birthday card. Sort of.But nevertheless the hotel is a oasis in a resort of much more expensive, luxury accommodations, and long may it remain so for the foreseeable future...

As usual having to leave at 6am,in the morning on our way to Heraklion..

The room had everything we needed in it. Big fridge, aircon, kettle, cutlery, cups and saucers, lovely fluffy white towels. There was bottled water waiting for us in the fridge. The hosts work in the downstairs supermarket which is open til midnight, and so very handy. They were very helpful and showed us how to use the aircon etc. Elefteria was so lovely, had to take a photo with her. Views are amazing from the spacious balcony, overlooking the sea and beautiful landscape. Location is very good, quiet but close to town, 10min walk. Lovely long promenade in front by the sea. Information centre nearby. If you come by bus to the bus station and have lugguage like we did, it is best to take a taxi (€7) even if its only a 10min walk as the area is very hilly and we had to climb down a steep flight of stairs to get to the hotel. We wish we had known. A visit to Plaka from there is worthwhile.

Small shower and no shower curtain, so everything gets wet. At least they had a bath mat.

Location. Value, balcony view of harbor, for a basic room all a.menities ( fridge, tea pot, hair drier were present. Easy walk to town a d @ 3 minutes to nice places fir coffee/ drinks in evening.. owner very accommodating and pleasant.

Was fine for me but room very basic so if not on balcony not somewhere to kill time. Bed hard ( great for my back!) . Shower tiny w hand held soray.

Great view of the sea. Close to Lake Vulismeni and the city center. Very friendly staff and helpful owners. Level of accommodation and room to the expected standard.

Lack of even short-term parking makes it difficult to stay in and out of the hotel.

Great location just 5 minutes to restaurants and “The Lake.” Absolutely amazing view over the bay, worthy of a 5* hotel. The lift from the shop was awesome, it felt like you were stepping into the wardrobe into Narnia. Handy to the free City Bus which travels around the town every half hour including a stop at the main bus station.

Pillows were hard and over stuffed.

The owners are lovely and very friendly. They go out of their way to please. The location is superb, and the views from the room to Mirabello Bay are breathtaking. It is located right in the heart of the town of Agios Nikolaos and is accessible to shops, restaurants, and blue flag beaches. We highly recommend it.

The thing we liked the most is the room view. The hotel is located across the sea front, and sitting on the balcony felt like sitting on the sea. Beside this, hotel is located 10 minute walk from city center (the walk is by the see), and the same distance from one city beach (you can see the beach from the balcony).

The room was modestly equipped, it only had double bed, closet, fridge and a plastic stool. There was no kitchenette, nor dishes (we only had two plastic glasses, which did not look well).

Visited this hotel 12 months ago and loved its location, and general atmosphere and nothing has changed with our 2nd stayover.The hotel offers lovely views of the sea/harbour. The rooms are just large enough for 2 persons with 2 single beds. And although the hotel is traditional it has great character,and affordability. And room service was every day. So a great 2nd visit on our 3 week holiday. Recommended. And a lift.

Nothing ! Was all perfect exactly what we needed!

Perfect one night stay in agios nikolaos. Absolutely lovely location overlooking the harbour. The room is small and very basic a double bed a fridge and a wardrobe with small shower room however it was absolutely spotless . Would definitely stay again.
