This hotel was clean and it has a wonderful location. We were able to go to 3 different beaches, which were 3-10 min walk from hotel. The Hotel rooms are a bit old but you can see how hotel's team tries it's best to provide you great service, clean room and comfortable accommodations. I believe the quality you get for the price is amazing. I will strongly recommend to consider sea-view, first 4 days we lived in the garden view and then decided to upgrade for additional cost to sea-view. The room was a bit smaller but in the end the view is stunning and it totally has done our stay and vacation so special. The breakfast was from 7.30-9.30 am. You get all essentials eggs, meat options, yogurt, pastries, veggies and some fruits. Coffee is not the best, but there is a kettle so if you travel with your own coffee you will be all set.

Sometimes in the room you will get unpleasant smell from the pipes in the bathroom. After we've changed room to sea view we didn't have this issue any more. Breakfast starts a bit too late for summer vacation when sun and heat starts so early, if there was breakfast at 6am I'll prefer to start day at that time.

This was a good stay in a two star hotel! Hotel staff was very nice and helpfull and the hotel was in a perfect location! There is a small beach where you can go swimming just outside the hotel. Room was big enough for a five night stay, my friends stayed in a room that had a balcony to the ocean, next time would definitely choose a room like that!

The hotel could use a better cleaning, but for the price I paeyd it was alright.

We enjoyed our stay at El Greco Hotel. The room was good and clean. Even though it is a bit outdated (some things are broken), it is good for a short stay. The receptionists are very kind and welcoming, and are there to answer all of your questions. Free Parking can be found on the street in front of the door.

As many other reviews stated that there is a lot of noise coming from the hall and street. We can confirm that there is much noise coming for the rooms next door and the reception.

The location is great, walking to everything. Parking is on the street so getting a spot can be a bit of a challenge but there’s a lot close by. We had an ocean front view, it was lovely. The room was serviced every day and nicely!

The shower door was broken so it was hard to keep the water inside and we had no hot water on our last day. Not a deal breaker though!

I was told that we may get a partial sea view so imagine my delight when our room offered a panoramic vista! It was lovely to have a cup of tea on the balcony using the kettle thoughtfully provided. The hotel felt luxurious, much higher than a 2* hotel.

The breakfast area was peaceful and attractive but as vegans we would have appreciated plant milk and perhaps one or two items that catered for our needs, like vegan butter. Having said that, the cooked green beans and courgettes were lovely though the tomatoes could have had a topping of vegan cheese rather than dairy. We appreciate that Crete is less of a vegan island than other places but with an international clientele it might be worth bearing in mind.

What we liked the most was the location and friendly and helpful staff.

Mostly the fact that the room didn’t looked like in the photos, they are somehow old, with old furniture, rusted stuff in the bathroom or balcony. One side of the door was broken. The breakfast was the same in all of the days, there was only one day when they served as well fried eggs. Nevertheless we had an excellent time.

The location was excellent. Only a short stroll to the centre of town. The nearest beach was 5 minutes away and there were a number of Tavernas near by,

The breakfast choice was limited to, especially if you were staying for a longer period of time.

A great location and quality for price. The breakfast was good and the overall stay was very nice. We had a lovely balcony with a sea view. We would book here again.

The elevator didn't work if someone on one of the floors left its doors open. It was an issue for us as we stayed on the top floor and traveled with a stroller. It was possible to fix if one of us went downstairs and closed the door, but it was still an unnecessary inconvenience

Arrogant person at front desk Poor communication and very unhelpful. Seemed very disinterested not at all like our usual experience with front of house staff. We were made to wait an extended time. Spoilt our experience of Chania as we had to wait so much longer than he had informed us without explanation or apology..

Perfectly situated to enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains and just minutes from the beach. Great value for the price.

The shower was small and hard to maneuver and the coffee at breakfast was awful - challenging for someone dependent on that morning shot of caffeine.
