A wonderful stay at Castro Hotel Syros (10–13 July)! We had a truly wonderful experience during our stay at Castro Hotel Syros. The room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, providing the perfect base for exploring the island. What really stood out was the hospitality of the staff — they were extremely friendly, helpful, and always available to provide directions, local tips, and anything else we needed. Their warm and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. There was also the option of a complimentary 30-minute massage, which added a thoughtful and relaxing touch to the overall experience. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the town, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and the port, while still offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to return in the future!

We stayed here for my wife's birthday. This lovely hotel was perfect for us. Great central location with the most amazing staff. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast crew at the restaurant was so friendly, kind, and helpful. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. The room was luxurious, with a very comfortable bed, cold AC, and a spotless bathroom. Everything in town was at our doorstep, but we also rented ATVs to explore the rest of the island. When I return to Syros, I will definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect. Super clean hotel, nice service from the staff and we really liked the aesthetics of the hotel. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

The Breakfast buffet was poor, not representative of a 5-star hotel. They had an issue with the shower as the water was coming out of the shower and the bathroom floor was ending having water all over the place. The bed side light wasn’t functioning on one side of the bed. There is no room service if you need food at night. The hotel restaurant was closed throughout the day. I don’t think this is considered to be a 5-star hotel in overall as they claim which is why it’s not a great value for money hotel.

Great history behind the building itself and a really premium finish within the reception lobby and bar area. Incredibly welcoming staff and always on hand to provide recommendations and have a general chat. Great spa/massage also!

I thought the rooms could have done with a bit of modernisation. Not to take away from its history but I didn’t get a balance of historic nor 5*. All in all clean and comfortable, just would have been the difference between an 8 and a 10.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this small cosy luxurious hotel in the heart of Ermoupolis. The hotel was luxuriously decorated in an "old castle rock" style and the room was modernly decorated with a luxurious touch, with carming colors and ambient lighting. The room even had its own private external patio, which was very quiet and relaxing. We had the most amazing relaxing and invigorating experience at the spa (>4 hours) with the Exclusive Spa Day couples package - really worth it, so you need to book your package quite early. The breakfast was quite adequate with a selection of healthy snacks. The staff served us with the highest level of service and hospitality, really friendly, eager to help in any request we had, and also accommodated our request to for a late check out in our last day of stay. Overall, excellent positive experience, and very good value for money. Highly recommended for couples.

This property is stunning! Every inch is beautifully decorated and clean! It has so much character and is such a comfortable place to stay! Truly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! The staff could not have been more kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! This is such a special gem and I would highly recommend anyone stay here!

This is a beautiful newer property with an amazing staff and an outstanding breakfast! We didn't use the spa but it looked fabulous! Rooms are extremely comfortable and the location is excellent! Pepe and Maria at the front desk were both extremely knowledgable and made great recommendations for places to go in the area. Thank you ladies!!!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and a great location! Staff was very helpful getting us restaurant reservations and helping us get around the island with renting a car, they would call us a taxi by simply asking via WhatsApp message.

Very minor wish they would have had robes in the room.

- The location of the hotel is one of its great assets. Very polite staff also. - Loved the bed!

- I had some payment issues between booking.com and the hotel. The communication with the hotel was not easy and slow in order to sort it out (for a couple of days, I was calling the landline, and no one answered, except for the emails I sent). - The room we had was next to the hotel's roof garden, which had tables for customers. Exactly next to our window, there were tables. Luckily there were not any customers else it would be noisy. For the same reason (privacy), it was not possible to open a window or have any view.

Such a wonderful hotel, nice design of the room, perfectly located. It is closed to Vaporia and the urban beach, Ciele. The breakfast was so diverse and of good quality. The personnel was also great, looking after us, to make sure we have a perfect experience. As we arrived early in the morning, we have been invited to have breakfast and leave our luggage, until the room was ready (well in advance of the official check-in). We really enjoyed our stay. We truly recommend it.
