fantastic stay. The town is small and quite. so if you are looking for some peace and quite this is the place. Close to the mountains. The breakfast was just superb, be aware, they came out with juice, cofee, 4-5 different dishes for breakfast and it was all superb. when the host saw that we had made friends with some other guests she came over to our patio and gave us some snacks while we were chatting.

if you take the wrong road to this town it is very "off-roady". If you are looking for different restaurants to chose from this isn't the place for you.

Our room was very dark. In the bathroom 4 out of 5 lightbulbs were broken. There was no hot water in the evenings.

The villa is situated along a breathtaking scenic route to the village; however, it is important to note that the road can be dangerous, so it is advisable to travel during daylight hours. The room was impressively spacious, clean, and the bed provided a comfortable night's rest. As a nature enthusiast, the balcony offered a delightful view to the sea and mountains. Do not miss the opportunity to dine at the host's family tavern, where delectable food and excellent wine await. The host is friendly and kind, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience throughout your stay. For avid hikers, a visit to Selakano village is highly recommended, as it is situated at an even higher elevation in the mountains, providing exceptional hiking opportunities

These people truly know hospitality. It's a beautiful village with stunning views. The restaurant serves wonderful meals and the breakfast that is included, is amazing. The people are warm and welcoming and make you feel right at home.

Nothing,, everything was great!

This is a great place for anyone that wants to experience Crete mountainous countryside. A small village at 600 m. There is a small minimarket. The hotel is in a a new but rustic building. Our room was big with a balcony and a view of the valley. In the first floor there is a nice restaurant with good food. We ate breakfast and some meals there. Enjoyed evenings with a glass of wine. The landlords are very friendly and relaxed. WiFi was excellent. Only a short distance away there are good hiking opportunities, for instance in the village of Selakano with old oaks and pine forests with lots of beehives.

We liked everything

From the moment we turned up, soaking wet from hiking through an electric storm in the mountains, to the moment we left at dawn with a packed breakfast, Nikos and his team welcomed us with great hospitality – and food to match. Our apartment was characterful, quiet and super comfortable, and the restaurant in the taverna downstairs, strong on local produce, was fantastic (order the aubergine dip with walnuts if they have it!). Highly recommended.

Some tea, coffee and sundries in the kitchen would have been a nice touch.

The property is in a beautiful location. The room was spacious and clean. The view on the mountains and the horizon from the terrace was amazing. Nikos and his staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming and generous. The food at breakfast and also in the evenings at their restaurant was delicious!

The hospitality was outstanding. The room was spacious and the food authentic and very tasty! Great starting point for hikes in the Cretan mountains.

Nothing we did not like as such about the place to stay, yet, the time required to reach and move away from the town of Males is not to be underestimated.

It's isolated, and the attached taverna was great. Huge terraces on two levels with views to the sea.
