Me and my fianceé recently spent a week at this luxurious resort in Crete and we were absolutely delighted with our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided top-notch service and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We got upgrade to Deluxe room with private pool with sea view and that was the icing on the cake. You can choose from many swimming pools including a heated one. Some pools have salty water, we appreciated the adults only zone next to the pool and what can I say..... the cabanas are divine. The resort has very relaxing atmosphere, quiet despite of the resort is relatively large. The food was delicious, to many variations to choose from. On breakfast I appreciated the coffee, which was made on the bar not automatic machine by myself. Dinner has to many corners with food from pizza, pasta, sea food, greek corner and many more. I especially found the desserts very impressive. I have never seen such high level desserts at hotels. The cleaning lady did her job very well with attention to details. Overall, our stay at the Royal Senses Resort & Spa was pure paradise. The combination of stellar accommodations, remarkable service, and gorgeous setting made this one of the most luxurious and memorable vacations we've ever had.

High quality resort and very friendly staff. Nice and clean room with balcony and fantastic sunset over the ocean. Aqua park for the children and kids club was great. Many pools to choose from and a good gym/spa. Good food and nice restaurants, shops, boutiques, tenniscourt and fotball pitch.

It was hard to get sunbeds even if there was many pools, the service was lacking some days but I’m sure the staff did there best, it was very busy.

OMGosh...where do I begin? Absolute luxury from beginning to end. The staff immediately made us feel like royalty the minute we got out of our taxi. I was going to take one of our bags but the staff member who greeted us would not hear of it! He took all our luggage by himself and brought it to the luggage room while our room was being prepared. We arrived at 0930 and check in wasn't until 1500. They offered us a cool towel and then accommodated us in the restaurant that served breakfast. Buffet style. It was nothing short of incredible! We had a table with sea view, and it was breathtaking! We then took our places by one of the giant pools overlooking the sea. Each table had a button to order food and drinks to be brought to your umbrella. They called us once the room was ready and they brought us to our room with the golf cart. We had the room with the private pool and it was everything we imagined! They had a table with a cake and champagne because we told them we were celebrating our anniversary and our daughter's HS graduation! We lounged by our private pool till dinner time. There are 4 restaurants. We opted for the buffet restaurant, amazing! Michalis, our server, was exceptional! We then later walked around the resort and then sat down and listened to the live entertainment and had drinks. It was a lovely ending to a great day! The next day we rented a car (there is a car rental kiosk inside the resort!) and visited Heraklion...it takes about an hour so plan accordingly. We left after breakfast (included), so around 0900 and were back a little after 1400. We did not want to stay away from our beautiful resort. We just luxuriated around the pools and our private pool for the rest of the day. The next day we took a shuttle after breakfast to the sister resort across the street to the beach. It's ok but nothing great. We quickly came back to the resort. Aquapark was cool! Spa. A little marketplace in the resort for purchases. A parting gift too!

Nothing! The only thing I would like to mention to management is that the drainage system is a tad faulty in our room. The shower drain was not working properly, so the water spilled outside to our main room. We had to use all our towels to soak it up. But when we asked for more towels, it was instantaneous! Towels appeared like magic! So thoughtful. You can ask for however many towels and they will immediately bring you the towels or anything you might need! The sink could also need a little drainage repair. But minor compared to the whole fantastic experience! We just wanted to mention it so the next lucky guests will not have to use up their towels 😁

Our recent stay at Royal Senses was a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by the hotel's elegant and contemporary interior design. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was assisting with our luggage or providing recommendations for local attractions, their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made us feel truly welcome. During our stay, we encountered a couple of minor issues, but the staff handled them promptly and efficiently. Their professionalism and dedication to resolving problems were truly commendable. Overall, our stay at Royal Senses was exceptional. The combination of stylish decor, excellent service, and effective problem-solving made it a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Rethymno.

Unfortunately, our dining experience at Platia Restaurants left us feeling disappointed. The food, while visually appealing, was overpriced and the portions were rather small. We were particularly disappointed with the service, which was slow and inattentive. Additionally, the rice pudding we ordered was undercooked and cost a hefty 14 euros. Considering Crete's reputation for delicious and affordable traditional food, our experience at Platia Restaurants was a significant letdown. Additionally, while breakfast offered a decent variety of options, the overall quality was somewhat lacking. For instance, the French toast was disappointing as it didn't appear to be made with toasted bread.

We stayed for three nights in a room with a private pool and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was excellent — incredibly tasty with a wide variety of options for every meal. The main pool with heated water was fantastic and very enjoyable even during cooler parts of the day. The gym is spacious and well-equipped, offering a great selection of machines for a proper workout. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. But the best part of all was the peaceful atmosphere — it’s the perfect place to relax and truly unwind.

The only downside is that access to the spa, including the sauna, is charged extra, which was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this category. Still, overall, a fantastic stay and we would love to come back!

The hotel was stunning, with the most amazing views. We got a room upgrade which was wonderful. Staff were all very accommodating and polite. Room was cleaned and topped up twice a day which was wonderful. Service was impeccable.

On arrival we were told to walk through the back of the hotel to get around for the privacy of others, but there was constantly people walking by the front of our room, which was awkward when you were in your pool or sunbathing. I didn't realise when booking, there was a walkway at the end of the pool, thought it was more private.

This hotel is comfortable and beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The heated pools are excellent, especially the ones designed for babies, which were perfect for our little one. The rooms are fantastic—spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Their private pool is spectacular, offering a great place to unwind. Additionally, the views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, overlooking the entire area and the magnificent sea. The restaurant is beautiful, with an excellent menu that offers a delicious variety of dishes. Overall, a wonderful stay that we highly recommend.

Unfortunately, the majority of the staff seemed to lack the necessary skills, resulting in poor service. They made a serious mistake with the menu for my baby — the food was extremely salty and undercooked. I strongly recommend the hotel carefully review the training and competence of their employees, as their performance falls far below what is expected from a five-star establishment. At times, some staff appeared to act as if they knew better than the guests, which was quite disappointing and unprofessional.

Loved the beauty of the hotel. Staff were very helpful. Food and variety were superb!

Charged 100 euros again for 10 days which was for environmental fee. It was already charged by booking.com. Also requested 2 single beds on booking,com and had corresponded with hotel re 2 single beds. It was not ready when I arrived and only on day 2 rectified. I was told that I did not request it and then showed confirmation of request. No apologies were made. Housekeeping not very tidy and clean. Floors always dirty even after it was mopped. Bed sheets never changed and when queried was told to put a card on the bed. No ‘card requesting bed change’ was in my room. Shower never cleaned and soap/cream dispensers were empty.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the luxurious five-star hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the grand entrance, I was greeted with impeccable service and warmth. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance, with a stunning sea view. What truly sets this hotel apart is its staff – their genuine hospitality and attention to detail made me feel like royalty throughout my stay. Without a doubt, this five-star hotel is a gem that epitomizes luxury and excellence in every aspect. I cannot wait to return for another unforgettable experience.

While my stay at the hotel was undoubtedly exceptional, there was one minor drawback that I feel compelled to mention. Despite the overall luxury and comfort of the room, I did notice some noise from the corridor filtering into the room during the night. At times, it was possible to hear people passing by, which slightly affected the quality of sleep. While this issue did not significantly detract from my overall experience, I believe that improving the acoustic insulation in the rooms could further enhance the tranquility and privacy for guests. However, I must emphasize that this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise flawless stay at this outstanding five-star hotel.

The hotel was lovely, the design, the cleanliness, there is nothing to complain about but most importantly what made this vacation so beautiful was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we felt very taken care of! We visited the Spa for some treatments and tried the different restaurants at the premises and from when we arrived till we left, everyone was taking care of us. The cocktails at the pool bar were super yummy and the breakfast buffet has a huge varierty of food from sweet to savoury, from healthy to indulgent. We would come back for sure!

Nothing to complain, but if you want to explore the island you would need a car, the hotel is a bit more secluded, which we loved as it was calm and peaceful. But you can rent a car the hotel!
