The apartment has basic facilities, with a tiny kitchen and a small bathroom. Lovely view from the patio and a short walking distance to the pebble beaches and the taverna. Friendly owners. The road to the apartments is bumpy but one gets repaid by the view when one reaches the destination.

Air conditioning in one room. It was super hot when we stayed at Sfinias and the heat in the room without the air conditioning unit was almost unbearable. There is no window in the first room, only the entrance door, making it difficult to get fresh air in. The beds were not very comfortable, especially the queen-size ones. The kitchen is tiny, probably suitable just for preparing a basic breakfast and not much more.

Location, location, location. This is a spectacular place if you like sunshine, clear water and peace and quiet. Southern Crete is lost in time and you can really relax here. The apartment sits above an outcrop looking over both coves. There is swimming depth within 10 metres and several smooth large boulders which can be perched upon. There are umbrellas to shelter under. The food in the restaurant is local fresh organic produce. There are not many shops so best to find a supermarket in Heraklion or stop at the Lidl half way. A very special place.

The sea view from the rooms is unbeatable, it’s only 7 minutes walk to the beautiful beach with umbrellas where there are always just a few people from the hotel. The hotel taverna is the most beautiful taverna I have ever seen in Crete: the setting, the sea view. Food is very delicious, too. We spent 10 days at Sfinias and didn’t get tired of breakfasts and dinners there. The whole family that is running the hotel and taverna are such lovely people, I really felt sad leaving this place. And yes, the rooms are very simple but our room actually looked and felt better than on the photos. It was pretty clean, furniture is not that old, aircon worked well and bedding was ok. We moved our beds together and filled the gap between with a rolled blanket - and voila, we had a huge king size bed:) We got an electric kettle for our room when we asked for it. Swimming pool has salt water and it was too warm for me in the day time, but it must be perfect for the kids. There are several beaches with facilities in that area, they all are around 15-20 minutes drive away. The closest mini market is about 7 minutes drive away I think, and the large supermarkets Xalkiadakias and Lidl are 45 minutes drive away but, it’s a beautiful windy road through the mountains that never gets old. We did not see a single mosquito in August, we could stay outside at the balcony the entire night. Maybe because of the heat they were not there. One can give his laundry to Katarina at the taverna and she throws it into the washing machine, costs 5€ per load. Drying would cost another 5€ but we bought a small drying rack for 11€ at the Xalkiadakias supermarket and were air drying our clothes on the balcony. We will definitely come again!

Maybe only the pillows. I slept ok on mine but it’s because I have a baby since 1 years and I am used to sleep anyhow, somehow:D

This is a great hotel for a relaxing stay. The location is extremely remote in a beautiful area. Two gorgeous beaches, one with umbrellas for shade and the other without. The apartments and hotel rooms are all clean with everything you need. The views from all rooms are stunning. The swimming pool is salt water and a good size with free umbrellas and sun loungers. There is a wonderful family run Taverna serving delicious food at a great price. The local area has some more great beaches that n driving distance and some brilliant hikes not far away. I would recommend stocking up on supplies before you arrive as there is no super market in the area. The owners are lovely and make you feel welcome and part of the family. I 100% recommend staying here!

Very friendly staff/owners, beautiful location, incredible views. Lovely swimming pool. The apartment was very large, lovely high ceilings and great value for money. It was really only accessible by car or taxi as it's quite a distance from Kali Limenes. It's on the side of a hill with incredible views, also some passing and anchored ships. A short walk down the steep hill is a beautiful quiet beach with shade from umbrellas. Swimming was perfect. If you can't manage the walk, it is steep, the swimming pool is a bonus! The taverna had very good food and was fantastic value. The people who had the hotel and taverna were so very hospitable. A great experience if you like to be away from everything. Fantastic!

"A beautiful, peaceful, and wild place for a relaxing holiday. Very quiet, with a beach just below the accommodation. There is also another beach nearby, equally calm and relaxing. The restaurant within the property is lovely, surrounded by beautiful flowers, and offers a great atmosphere. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, and there is also a saltwater swimming pool which was a wonderful bonus."

This is a fantastic place for total peace. It is outside the village a few kilometers and there are no direct neighbors. The beach is in front of the hotel just a few steps to walk and there is a pool between the houses of the hotel. There are shops at 10 km and 25 km away for big markets. Markos and wife were very friendly and always helpful. I spent one month and I was not the only one.

The hotel is very close to the two beaches that are in front of it and it has a wonderful view of the sea. The rooms are very clean and big and the stuff is always kind and friendly. There is also a hotel tavern, with very very good prices and tasty dishes. We are absolutely coming again! The pets are also allowed. NOTE 1: Regarding the ROAD, take the one that passes through, "Mires", "Pompia" and  "Pigaidakia" villages, the road there is paved (with asphalt) and it guides to the hotel. The GPS may recommend you an another, shorter route but it may be an unpaved road. NOTE 2: Remember to close the doors of the balcony at night due to a kind of mosquitoes that may annoy you. Generally, dont leave the balcony doors open with the lights turned on inside the room. The hotel is in the nature and it is normal that this happens.

Sfinias apartments is a magical place for those who love peace and calm. The owners are very kind and helpful. Right under the apartments are two beautiful beaches where we usually stayed alone for the whole day. We rarely used the pool but it is a nice option to have. The rooms are bright and spacious with a breathtaking view of the open sea. The beds are wide and very comfortable. We were satisfied with the cleaning.

The equipment of the room is a little outdated and some pieces would deserve a little maintenance or replacement. In the bathroom, we lacked some shelves for storing things.

Very Nice beach with umbrellas, we were almost Alone. The pool is ok. The view from the terrace is for million dollar. We had great time. It's the place to rest, away from the noisy and kaotic World. Definitely Worth to visit. Taverna has good food, the owners are really Nice.
