Very affordable and clean hotel. The place looks nice. Contrary to some other places in Crete, there is actually a free parking lot right by the hotel! The rooms are simple but effective and cosy. The staff was very polite and helpful. The lady who prepares the breakfast is so nice. The pool is a nice plus; the water and the sides are kept quite clean.

Nothing, really. It's a bit outdated: the beds are not the more comfortable in the world and the bathrooms are quite small (especially the showers). That being said, everything is clean and functional.

Breakfast was very good, service excellent. Facilities are modern and clean.

In an ideal world I wish rooms at the hotel were a bit larger, but they were totally adequate to our needs. Internet WiFi connection was fine in the office area, but a bit weak in the room. We arrived quite late at the accommodation and the hosts were present to receive us. The room was clean, comfortable, proper size. The breakfast was proper and kept was well fed and ready to start the day with energy! The main host, Stelios, was one of the friendliest I've ever met. He would hang with us on the terrace having some beers, some snacks (and of course some raki!), and just having a proper chat together. Definitely one of the best host-guest interactions we've ever had. The location was amazing, just around 5 minutes walk from the Matala center, so it was both handy and calm. Matala itself was a very nice small town, good food, good beaches, perfect to spend some quality time. Highly recommended and definitely we'll come back!

We originally booked the standard double bad room, but when we arrived we realized that the room is not big enough for us with the baby crib. Luckily, the two nights after the studio apartment was free, so we paid the money difference and upgrade- and this was a whole different story. The studio apartment is brand new, very well equipped, with full kitchen, two rooms, and huge balcony with amazing sunset view. If you are coming with a family- that's the option for you - highly recommend. Other than that, Sula and Stalios the owners are so lovely and nice. They give you the feeling that you are a guest in their house and their hospitality is perfect. The hotel is spotless clean, and there is free private parking (which is something rare in Matala). Breakfast is very basic, but the coffee is great. As for the location, it's exactly 7 minutes walk from the main street of Matala. Not so bad at all if you put in mind the fact that you enjoy free parking and great mountain view from balcony.

The hotel can definitely benefit from renewal and refreshment, which will make it a real gem with a perfect rate of 10. The wifi was not strong enough and didn't work in the rooms.

Great position so that just out of town and therefore away from the noise from busy Matala. Plenty of parking. Very nice pool and surrounds. We had one of the upgraded rooms which had a lovely bathroom, cleaners did an excellent job. Stelios and family were excellent, generous hosts & provided a good breakfast.

We would like to have had the added security of netting over the bathroom window and have had the option of brown bread, toast, fruit or yoghurt on offer at breakfast.

Great swimming pool area. Nice little bar area. Extremely warm hosts, made us feel very welcome.

Breakfast was lovingly prepared, good, but very basic. I was looking forward to freshly squeezed orange juice but not this time. Selection of cocktails limited to tequila sunrise. The bed was ok, a little bit uncomfortable (our opinion).

It was a welcoming host, well located near the beach, the pool was clean, the room was cleam, very good breakfast prepared by the host's mother who's also really friendly, private parking near Matala's beach. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night.

Very nice and welcoming staff, nice people. Renewed bathrooms and very clean rooms. Very good coffee in the morning. If you are sensitive person you might be disturbed by absence of the soundproof. However def value for money.
