Nice hotel in Agia Galini, breakfast room with beautiful view of the sea. Good quality breakfast with both sweet and savory available. Very clean comfortable room and pleasant bathroom, balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful heated outdoor swimming pool with bar. Definitely a hotel to recommend to all and return to.

We had the most wonderful stay at Paralos The Maxine in Agia Galini — a true hidden gem on the southern coast of Crete. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. The staff were absolutely amazing — always smiling, genuinely kind, and ready to help with anything we needed. You could truly feel they care about their guests. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and located in a peaceful, scenic area surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the beach. The atmosphere is so relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The pool is stunning — a dreamy spot to spend lazy afternoons soaking up the sun. The food was delicious, with fresh and varied options that we looked forward to every day. Having a car is definitely useful if you’d like to explore the area a bit more, but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy beautiful views in a tranquil setting, this is the place. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. There was truly nothing we didn’t like — everything exceeded our expectations.

For the first time I was very surprised after entering the hotel.This wasn't in a negative way but a positive one.I don't remember the last time I liked an accomodation so much.The room felt incredibily cozy while the dining and living room felt relaxing and welcoming.The view was indescribable even more specifically during breakfast.The staff at the reception,specifically Katerina and Evelina and the always everywhere and whenever you need Cristina,with their always smiling attitude make you feel at home and at ease which feels infectious and affects the guests positively.I believe the whole staff has a similar attitude even if we haven't had the chance to interact with everyone.We just arrived home but If we could,we would turn around and be back there in an instant.Thank you for everything!

It is truly a very nice hotel. The rooms were very nice, the pool was small and pretty, just enough for some relaxation, the breakfast was very tasty, it had everything you needed but the best part was the view at the breakfast restaurant 😍 Also, it was close to the local beach, aprox 5-10 min walking and also accesible if you had a car and wanted to enjoy other parts of the island. The staff was friendly and very welcoming, even had our room ready 2 hours before check in time which was very nice. Over all, i would totaly recommend the hotel to anyone and look forward to staying here again.

The staff were very polite and kind. It’s a charming family-run hotel with friendly and helpful owners. My room was wonderful spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was clean and modern, just like in the photos. The city center was only a 20-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants and cozy bars for drinks. I stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. The atmosphere was very calm, so if you’re looking to reset and relax, this place is perfect

The location was a bit remote, but everything else was great.

Nice hotel setting with beatiful views of coastline and hotel gardens. Comfortable beds, nice interior decoratings. Quite good parking possibilities in hotel area. Overall good experience, can recommend.

We were given a room with hotel building view. Cleaning service could be better, after arrival we needed to open windows to get rid of humid stinky air. Juices on breakfast could be real, not some chemicals mixed with water.

The room and the view were absolutely beautiful, the staff really lovely, the bar and restaurant stylish and pleasant, also with a stunning view. Most of the breakfast was very nice too, with fresh fruit, good yoghurt, different bread, and a choice of coffees...

Only to be picky: You had to pay extra to get decent orange juice for breakfast, the alternative was a sort of watered down Fanta, which was not nice. For older people, the hotel is on too much of a slope. The light by my bed didn't work.

I would say everything was exceptional. Hotel was from my understanding is family owned and very very well cared in all meanings. Peoples' expectation are earned and there was a no kids! (only saw some teenager with their families which was totally okay) Owners were soo good that they even upgraded our room upon arrival. It was a bit far from our airport but they waited us even we did arrive a bit late. Breakfast was also so good and fresh. Everyday they were having some different bakery which is some Greek delight to our taste buds. Upon departure we have small problem and had to stay a bit late, but they were so kind that they did everything for us to able to stay in our room additionally 4-5 hours and provided all needed services meanwhil. Area is so cool, near to very alive city by foot. Like 20mins walk on coastline under mountains are very nice after sunset. You have lots of food options also sea is nearby which you can swim easily. Also they have one cute white ghost of puppy walking around and will greet you while you're siting on balcony during breakfast/dinner which we found extremely cute. No need get scared from size of it, he is such a fluffy cuteness.

Property on a hill so lots of stairs and inclines. Could be difficult for some people. Car parking is also first come first served. Not a problem for a skilled driver to get into some parks but again, could be difficult for beginner drivers

A very convenient and tasteful choice for travelers in the area. It's very-well positioned to explore all the famous southern Rethymnon beaches, while at the same time serves pretty fine as a stay-and-drink-at-the-pool resort. Rooms are renovated recently in Boho-style and are spacious, offering a great view at the Agia Galini bay. Last but not least, the breakfast offered is more than decent!

Parking spaces could be more thoughtfully laid out, WiFi could be better. Overall, there are some corners that show the true age of the facilities, but nothing that should deter you from making a booking there :)
